My Boston Terrier’s are existing patients for several months and have experienced nothing short of wonderful service. All of the Veterinarians and Techs are caring , loving and listen to you regarding concerns and provide clear discharge instructions. The ONLY ISSUE-MAJOR ISSUE I have is with a newer employee “Ashley”. She is beyond rude, when you ask a question regarding one of my pets, she will cut me off mid-sentence and won’t listen to the question at hand. When I try to stop her so she can hear my question she becomes ignorant and snippy. When coming to the clinic I dread seeing her at the front desk, she exudes an uncomfortable oura to me that is unacceptable. She is rude not only verbally, even texting she seems to dance around questions asked. VERY rarely do I post a negative review however this needs to addressed and remediated as I do not want other clients get treated the same way.

I moved back from Midland to Monroe and needed a local vet so I asked for recommendations on a FB post and SVAH was the overwhelming winner and I know why now.
My cat, Monkey had run off for WEEKS and came back in terrible shape and she didn't have an appetite which was NOT like her. Dr. Rios instantly recognized that she had fatty liver disease from not eating enough when she ran away (she lost too much weight to quickly which is very bad for cats). Dr. Rios explained what her odds were (not good) but I tried to bring her back from the brink. She did not do well over the next couple of days and got worse. I didn't want my baby to suffer so I took her back to SVAH to say goodbye and give her peace.
When I say this was the best experience I've ever had with a vet office helping me part with a beloved but suffering pet, I mean they were SO KIND AND COMPASSIONATE. I've always had awful experiences with this (long time pet owner) where the vet just comes in and puts them down, no emotion, no empathy, just "their heart will stop in a minute or two". Not SVAH. They gave us a few minutes with her to say our goodbyes, then hey gave her a sedative so she wouldn't feel anything, told us to let them know when we were ready, left the room, THEN came back in to set her free.
Monkey is pictured here with her brother from another mother, Rip (yes, after the Yellowstone character - it fits him). She was a very unique and special cat.
We miss you Monkey, the house feels emptier without you here. Go run and play with Rocky...I'm sure he was waiting for you across the Rainbow Bridge.

We found a kitten under our trash can in the rain. Sun valley animal hospital was the only vet that could see us that day. They were super busy but kind and helped us assess the little guy. He’s been back for his 8 week appointment and is doing great! The two doctors we have seen so far have been knowledgeable and friendly and so has the staff.

Dr Barker at SVAH has been our doctor for over 20 years. We value his opinion and guidance. He has always shown our dogs the love and care that we have for them. We think there is no one like him.

Dr. Barker is so kind and compassionate. He genuinely cares about my animals’ quality of life. Amber is also very kind and patient with my pets. I have been going to Sun Valley AH for 21 years. They have cried with me through tragedies and heartbreaks. I am grateful to have them helping me care for my animals.
Added 10/5/24: Once again the team at Sun Valley was there for me. Earlier this week I had what seemed like an emergency with my cat at 4:30pm. I thought I would have to go to the ER Vet but when I called SV they said if I could get there soon they would work me in and that’s exactly what they did. They were thorough with the exam and very good with my cat. They explained the tests they wanted to do (and why) and provided an estimated cost. I never felt rushed because it was late. They did the things my cat needed and made sure I knew he was very well behaved for them. They genuinely care about my pets here, and that means so much to me.

Clean and great place for good animal care.Treated my boy bandit very well and carefully with his anxiety. Vet and staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a place to take care of your pet.

A few weeks ago, I took my puppy for vaccines etc. i was told he would need blood work to discover if he had lyme disease or anaplasma. The cost would be $128. When I followed up to get the bloodwork, my dog got a puppy workup, no disease testing, and at a cost of $210! So I am no closer knowing if my dog is sick. This was not right and a breach of my trust. I am not sure I will be returnknh v
