Is very convenient and I pass it everyday. This was my favorite gast station until today: Porsha, discriminated me by trying to denying me service. She was arrogant and moody at first, then she denied me lotto service. She said: "there's a machine, you can check it yourself". I responded,: "Is a winning ticket and bought it here, I just need to cash it". Then she asked: "how much you won?"I said: " Will you please scan it?"She said: "No, because if is more than $100 I won't cash it for you, you will have to go to Charlotte!".Then I said: "Ma'ma, I know the lotto rules, any lotto retail store can cash under $600 (up to 599).Then, with attitude she cashed my lotto ticket. No one should support discrimination by racist people, I know that after today: I will never step foot to this place ever again.I suggest Porsha to read:NCGS 14-12.12 –/NCGS 14-3 (c) –

At the northeast corner of US-74 - US-601 - Roosevelt Blvd and Morgan Mill Road, this convenience store and gas station is distributing Shell products. Their price for regular was the same as the QuikTrip across the way, which gets cheaper with the Fuel Rewards program. Inside, a tightly packed convenience store with coolers of drinks, shelves of snacks, a display of coffee and fixings and two cashiers behind glass next to the lottery machine. I was able to pay for my drink and be on my way quickly enough. [Review 15433 overall, 937 of 2021, number 2981 in North Carolina.]

Today while driving my son home from the ER at Atrium Health in Monroe, I had the extreme displeasure of pulling into Market Express at 600 W Roosevelt Blvd in Monroe. My son, who is 21 went in to purchase cigarettes. He did not have his ID with him, however he did have a hospital bracelet on that identified him based on a government picture ID and identifying his DOB. I understand the hesitancy to sell to him based on the new government regulations. I do not understand the nastiness of both of the loud and obnoxious "ladies" behind the counter. My son returned to the car. I went in to purchase the cigarettes. The louder and nastier of the two "ladies" demanded my ID. I said that I am 60 years old! She again demanded my ID. I said that it's in the car, followed laughingly with "I can't believe you're going to make a 60 year old man limp back out to his car for an ID when I'm clearly over 21. The "lady" then barked "DON'T BOTHER TO COME BACK IN... NOT SELLING YOU ANYTHING!" What a joke..... I will be plastering this extreme lack of service, and even more extreme rudeness, all over social media in the hopes that people steer clear of this store..... does no one train customer service in retail anymore? Totally disgusted and blown away by the attitudes of these "ladies"! QT accepted my money, did so politely and without demanding my ID, AND invited me to come back soon (and by the way, QT was clean with wide and easy to shop aisles, unlike the cramped and dirty dump that this particular Market Express is. SHAMEFUL. (Please note that the photo of the good looking and clean establishment on this page is NOT the actual location.... it is also dirty and cramped on the outside as well)

Best gas station in the area. Good for coffee and snacks. They also have beer and lottery tickets. Car wash available too.
