I love how clean the facility is, with lots of unique spaces (not just one big open area). The staff has been very helpful and I love the variety of options to work out. Monroe is by far my favorite location!

Definitely DO NOT waste your time or money!!! They have literally been taking money from me for over a year! I have been in and out of the hospital and haven’t been able to go in and cancel in person. I even tried to get it stopped by my bank. When I was finally able to go in and cancel they refused because of a balance on the account. I was also told that a manager could cancel the account and take care of the balance. The manager Katie called me while I was in the hospital after having a stroke and told me that she couldn’t do what was told to me the day before. My husband has also been there before too and was told that they could even refund payments since I hadn’t been there and was told that they couldn’t do that either. Definitely not good business practice to lie to your customers and make it to where you can only cancel if you are at the gym you started the membership with, which means if you move you are out of money.

Clean and friendly atmosphere. You don’t feel intimidated because everyone works at their own fitness level.

Definitely a no judgement zone and plenty of options for workout equipment. If u want the whole package get the black card membership. Certain machines are my favorite.

DO NOT RECOMMENDHusband got a 10$ member ship in January and between Jan and Feb we were charged 5 separate times for fees and nsf fees when the funds were in fact available, 65$ later we have called and cancelled the membership but planet fitness can not issue us a refund due to they use a third party for billing so I have tried contacting them with no success. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Excellent planet, I travel all over the United States and I know more than 1000 planets. I haven't seen another one like it in the card black part and the girl and the boy who were in frondesk were very polite and attentive at all times

Monroe PF is my “home gym”. I knew it was clean and well cared for, but I didn’t know how good it was until I started going to a greater Charlotte area PF once a week. Thx Monroe PF for keeping a top notch environment for clients. Thankful you are my primary location to work out.

Im only writing this to warn others of what i had to go through at this club. Before i was a member i worked here for a year and know the policy very well. Since i havent been able to use my membership due to my father being diagnosed with cancer i went in to cancel around December 20th of 2023. When i went in i immediately checked in and told the employee thats tall with dark hair and glasses i wanted to cancel. He had me sign the cancellation form and told me i would no longer have any more charges. February 1st i get charged my annual fee of $49. I called immediately as i was confused as to why i was charged if i canceled and spoke with the manager Katie. Come to find out the employee never actually canceled my account and i was told there was nothing they could do. I understand mistakes happen but when those mistakes aren’t fixed, thats absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I informed them to please check my check in history for the date and time i came in and to go back and view on the cameras me coming in and signing to cancel. She then tells me the footage had already been deleted and again they would not be refunding. Absolutely ridiculous that I’m having to pay for their employees mistake. The manager informed me she “curtesy canceled” my membership but i never received an email for it. So i call back again to have my contract and cancelation form emailed to me since it was never canceled the first time i was told it was. When checking my email the manager Katie emailed me a different members contract with their personal information shown- again unprofessional. Hopefully that member was notified of their information being shared. My only mistake is trusting an employee to do their job and cancel my membership without asking for a paper copy. Also they don’t provide a paper copy unless requested so beware. I will not recommend this gym to any family or friends of mine as the management needs help and the employees need better training. Canceling a membership is very simple to do- as I’ve done it many times before when i was employed here. If they are not willing to make up for their mistake for a previous employee/member I’m sure they wont for others.

Katie is incredibly unprofessional- and defends her employees that lie to customers. She needs to go. Incredibly unhelpful- and refused to give any information on how to contact a higher up. Do not waste your time with these employees who don’t even common sense.
