The pump did not shut off, and spilled gasoline all over our car and the ground. When we told the attendant, she seemed less than concerned. As we went back to clean up what we could, it was clear this has been an issue before, as there was gravel and signs of past spills.

Older gas station / convenient store right off I40 in Mocksville. You can pay at the pump which is a requirement for me these days. Inside they have the basics you will find at any store. No hot food options but they do have chips, candy, cokes, and other prepackaged items. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles from a newer convenient store then go a little further down the road to Sheetz. This one is not a bad option if you just need gas or the basics.
