Let’s start with the fact that this store is NEVER open! A young lady cashier by the name of Gabby had an attitude with my niece because this store had merchandise stock in the wrong place. My niece asked aren’t you supposed to honor the price since dollar general are the ones who stocked it in the wrong place to begin with. Gabby tone changed, she told my niece “no I don’t have to” then said that cooperate said even if they did make a mistake they don’t have to honor it. She was EXTREMELY RUDE.

The chances are very high that the store will be closed (during their business hours) when you go there to shop. It happened to me countless times! For example this evening: I drove there just to find the CLOSED sign on the door at 6:55 PM while the store should stay open till 9:00 PM.I lost count of how many times I needed something in the evening and there is no one there one or two hours before closing time. They put the CLOSED sign on the door whenever the employees decide that it is time to go home. What is wrong with this DG branch? Is the manager OK? Does the manager support this? Take the business hours down and put the sign "We are open whenever we feel like it" instead of 8:00AM-9:00 PM. I have never seen any business run this way.

TERRIBLE customer service this evening. The store was closing at 8pm which was clearly stated on the door. I went in at 7:55pm and was at the register at 7:57pm to check out to be told by an employee that she had already closed her register and they were closed (it was 7:57pm!!). Needless to say my items were left on the counter and the customer behind me did the same. Poor customer service and 2 sales lost due to it.

The people are nice, but the shelves are bare. Same products out for over a month. Looks like they're trying to close the doors.

Perhaps if the mngr had more or any help, this store would not be as bad as it is. Currently, the mngrs attitude matches the support Dollar General Corporate has with providing her help-which is basically bad. Will not spend another cent in this location.

I know Dollar General and Family Dollar stores can have a less than stellar reputation. I however don't subscribe to this. These are decent places to get household and some grocery items, especially when you don't want to fight the crowds at a larger store. There are some Dollar General stores that live up to the stereotype. Meaning the cleanliness isn't great, isles and shelves are cluttered, etc.. This DG is pretty clean and well stocked. For a Dollar General, I would give this one high marks. This is right on a very busy road (Yadkinville road). It is close to I40 and has all of the fast food chains, which adds to the traffic. There is no light to help you get into this DG when coming from I40. Also, trying to turn left out of the parking lot is almost impossible some times of the day.

Saturday 11/13/2021:The freaking worst of all. Went in tonight to pick up items and the line was a mile long with 1 person working. Aisles were blocked with merchandise and the cart stated aisle closed. Will call the fire department on Monday morning first thing to report this. This store is absolutely nasty. Owners need to make a trip to see this store. Be aware before you go to this nightmare of a store.
