Dr. Sokoloff was wonderful, very thorough even in the chaos of 4 dogs in the room. She managed to check out all of them. This will be our new vet. I feel I can trust them with all my pups needs.

Back in November my pup was violently ill on the day after thanksgiving and they took me in with no appointment and helped make her feel better. I decided to start using MHAH as our vet for our checkup appt this week (jan) and the entire staff was amazing. The doc prescribed meds and a shampoo which fixed her itchy red skin which she suffered from since we got her a year earlier! Other vets could not figure it out. Forever grateful. 5 stars isn't enough.

7251 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Mint HillStopped in for a quick lunch. Had no expectations as we just happened to drive by. Let me tell you, good fortune for us. It was a Tuesday, and their drink special was $10 cocktails. I got the Blackberry Bees Knees, and it really was the bees knees! Delicious! My bf had a beer flight of their craft beers. They were really good! I almost didn't let him drink his own flight. Then lunch arrived. It's Dominican inspired Caribbean food- I made that description up based on the backstory on the menu. Mom ordered a Cuban sandwich. She said it's the best she's had since we moved from Florida 20+ years ago. BF ordered the empanadas. Only downside was that we should have ordered 2 plates of the empanadas! BUT, what I ordered was best: Canal de la Mona - copied the menu description for you:
Caramelized sweet plantain, tender pulled pork, and rich Manchego cheese, harmoniously melted together inspired by Dominican and Puerto Rican flavors.
Basically, Heaven on a plate.
Most of the menu items are tapas style, small portions, other than sandwiches, so plan accordingly.
I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items...like the jerk chicken wings.
Anyway, try it. You won't regret it!

7427 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd #108, Mint HillI have passed by here plenty of times and finally had a chance to stop in on a Saturday morning. I looked at the menu online before going and had my heart set on a breakfast skillet. I head over and get greeted immediately by a friendly staff member behind the bar. Place wasn’t overly crowded so I opted to sit at the bar. Brought over a menu immediately and the same item I saw online I wanted, was on the menu so I ordered that. Just to be met with the chef hadn’t had time to make the hash browns or something like that. So obviously disappointed the one thing I came for I couldn’t get. But I pressed on and ordered the steak wrap with chips and side salad with a sweet tea. It was very tasty and filling and that sweet tea was literally the absolute best I’ve ever had. So good had to ask the waitress what brand do they use because I’d never tasted tea that good lol. I love the whole vibe of the place, everyone was so friendly from staff to the patrons at the bar sitting near me. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

8111 Fairview Rd, Mint HillFirst time visitor to see a live band on 10/19. Beer was cold, burger was good and chicken salad sandwich was like mom made. Girls behind the bar were on top of everything and even though this seems like a locals bar, I never felt unwelcomed. Will return soon.
