I went to Smith Family Tire & Automotive on a referral from a coworker to have my starter motor replaced. I called ahead to drop off the car, but when I got there they didn't seem friendly toward new customers. I don't know if they had just been burned that day or something, but I was to pay upfront and they would not accept a credit card. I was not told this over the phone and was surprised when I arrived to drop off the car. I presented a check from my bank USAA, but they would only accept a local bank check or cash. Eventually they reluctantly accepted my check as that was all I had at the time. The work was done on time and I have no complaints about the job done, but I did not feel welcome there and will not be back.

I was told that the charcoal canister for my 2007 Ford truck was cracked / leaking by Smith Family Tire. It would not pass inspection. Smith Family Tire could not find a new part. They found a used one with 120,000 miles on it. My truck has low mileage with less than 36,000. I told them I didn't want a used part. I found a new canister, paid for by me and delivered to my house for $361.42. I took it to Smith Family Tire and they installed it for $138.60. That was a total of $500.02. That was not the problem. They found a broken wire at the fuel tank pressure switch and repaired it for a additional $99.00. So all together I had $599.02 for a $99.00 job. I told the woman that took my money that guess I paid for a canister that I didn't need, she had no response but to take my money. I am retired and don't have money to waste. I will never recommend this place. After I got it home I had to loosen it up and put a pad between it and the frame like the original had. I wished I had read the reviews starting from the lowest first.

I do not usually like to leave bad reviews for local businesses but their mistake could have been very dangerous for myself and my child. I have been a customer for many many years. If this were my business I would call, make things right, offer to pay for the mistake.
I took my car to Smith's for an inspection, and they told me I needed to replace my brakes. So I did! I noticed shortly after that my tires were making a weird noise. I had to leave for a trip so I put it off a week before calling them about the noise.
I brought my car in and was told by the owner that the ball bearing needed to be replaced. I asked how that could be possible and questioned whether something happened during the brake replacement. I was told there was no way and that was that.
I took my car to another local shop that told me that both tire's front lug nuts were so loose that he could twist them off with my fingers. My tires essentially were about to fall off!
I also took this car to Smith's for an oil change and when I went to pick it up the car wouldn't start. I was then told I needed a new battery.
Moral of the story..DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! You will leave with more issues than you came in with.

I have nothing but good things to say about Smith Family Tire. What a professional, hard working, and honest group of folks. Have been there a few times and am impressed by how ethical and caring they are. Prices are quite good too even for labor only(if you brings parts).

I'm glad I chose to come here to fix my tires. They were able to replace them the same afternoon and give me a very fair price on some used tires. It literally made my week.
Highly recommend!

Not only are their prices great, but they’re honest, fast, and kind. I needed help immediately and they were there with absolutely no problems. This is the second time I’ve gone there and I can’t say enough. They are now my go-to car place.

Warning warning This guy is a thief he ripped me off 1,500 for nothing he lies to people. I had to call the law on him he tried to beat me and told me I should go back to my country. Be careful if you take your vehicle to these people. Be careful Latinos, this man is a rat, he robbed me and treated me very badly, he resisted by telling me to go to my country first, check who is taking your vehicle.

Mike and his team really helped us in a pinch. We needed a new battery and are from out of town (Chicago). Mike was great with getting us back on the road quickly.

Mike was so honest on what my wife's car needed after my wife was being told by the Mazda dealership we needed to get brakes replaced. I took it to Smith Family Tire and Automotive and they said the brakes had half life left! Honesty is hard to find I will be taking all my business to them for now on.

I had a bad oil leak coming from the valve cover gaskets on my '04 Toyota 4-runner. I dreaded doing the work myself and contacted Smith Family Tire & Automotive about the repair. They did a great job for a fair price and spared me from making a mess of it!
