“Best grocery store around. Meat department is like a butcher shop. Well staffed and very friendly atmosphere. Owner and his wife are normally on hand greeting people. Great place to shop- well stocked. Try their homemade sausage link. Outstanding. Also pimento cheese made on site is great. Lots of checkout lines with grocery baggers. They even take it to your car!”

“Big grocery store where one can find pretty much everything. Prices are often higher than at Food Lion unless it's a special or house brand. Tip: If something is advertised along the lines of "buy 1, get 1 free", more often than not you'll still get 50% off if you buy just 1.”
“I do recommend Food Lion just not the one in Selma, NC. I'm tired of them bagging my groceries and putting at the end of counter for me to put in cart. It is their job to put the bagged items in the cart. I 'm trying to pay and they just stand there. They hand the receipt to me and start ringing next customer and looks at me like I'm in their way. I have called the store several times but all Willis can say is yes mam. I've called customer service numerous times and they confirmed it is the cashiers job to scan, bag and put in cart. I'm done with Selma Food Lion. Worst customer service I've ever had !”
“You can tell they need more employees! The store had stock prepared to put out but with as busy as they were they couldn't step away to get to it. There was a line with two cashiers. One of them I watched, several times, attempt to get away to put things out. It wasn't because they were slow workers. This girl was breaking a sweat trying to juggle and help. There just weren't enough hands to do it ALL! I see this all the time in my local dollar generals... THERE ARE 6, SIX, within 10 miles of my home! Maybe the company should worry more about staffing the stores already in place rather than over populating the area with more of their stores....? I gave 4 stars for those girls breaking their backs to carry that load. NOT for the company itself.”

“Our neighborhood Food Lion is very clean and affordable. The staff is very helpful and takes pride in their work. I just wish that when there are extra people to help at checkout . They would help the customer to put their stuff on the line instead of standing there like, "I can't wait to get off work at 6. Other than that, I'm good.”

It's hard to find people with great personality and an encouraging smile with great deal of good karma. I could only hope that more places could share employees like him thank you Dollar General for having a young man that I'm sure will go far in life as long as he is rewarded with some type of acknowledgement an encouragement from someone in the chain of command from Dollar General he certainly has assured that I will continue to shop there in hopes his personality will rub off on some of the people that he comes in to contact with. How cool is that!!! Good people do exist and this has given me hope in the fact that our country is running amok and wild for a movement that isn't a issue that can not be resolved civilly with a little bit of hope love and encourgement!! The Dollar General hit pay dirt with this young man!! Please do not let it go unnoticed!! ☆☆☆☆☆”
