This used to be one of my favorite quirky little gas stations. Reasonably priced gas. Clean restrooms. Nice store with a bit of grilled food. And a partnership with the Lowes Foods next-door so the card I use in that store gives me a discount on the gas next-door.
Over the past two years this gas station has struggled. The road in front of it got widened in a months long project, and I suspect it damaged the customer base since the station was all but impossible to access. From that point onward, it doesn’t seem like they can keep up with repairs.
At first it was just one pump out of service, maybe two. Then they stopped putting the paper to produce receipts in the pumps. They never replaced the water for a windshield cleaning. The store wasn’t quite as well kept. These are a little things, but they begin to add up.
Now it’s progressed to the point where fully half of the pumps are not operational. The front of the pumps have notices disintegrated off of them, and it looks like a place I wouldn’t want to stop after dark.
This is especially surprising given it’s next to the most high-end grocery store in town, the only sushi place, and Tanger Outlets. It’s the only gas station between the Tanger Outlets and the highway that people can stop at when they’re leaving from shopping, since the other gas station only catches traffic coming into the outlets.
It breaks my heart that this long-standing gas station is in such disrepair. I hope it can bounce back. There’s a Buc-ees coming just a handful of exits down the highway. Perhaps they are just awaiting the seemingly inevitable demise of the local business. I would really like to be wrong.

i go to ge Speedway on a daily basic i smoke Newoprts 100 soft pack., prior to stepping to the counter , I man walked into the store and cut right in front of me , and when, i said something to him , he proceeded to to walk around me but make physical contact , I spoke on his behavior and exchanged words, when I got to the counter I requested two packs of Newpotrts 100 soft pack , while engaging in this conversation, I said to the cashier tha I want two packs of newprts 100's long soft pack,not pay9ng attention I took my purchase and left i stop[ed@ Lowe's Food and realized that he gave me Newport Shorts, made a u-turn went back to the store and the very same cashier told me that I requested short and I said that , that is not true that I am a frequent customer, and only smoke 100 he stated that he did not like the way I spoke to the man behind me who tried to cut in front of me that I was rude, I asked the cashier, what did he have to do with the conversation, w hich did not apply to him, he also state that it was against the law.. for he to give me the correct cigarettes that i have purchased on a regular bases I only smoke 100's, his attitude very argumentative, arrogant, stated that he had other customer to wait on loud, very nasty individual ,no custom service want s to be be mean and nasty when it is not necessary when we paid your bills the staff there needs to be, as a consumer, treat people how you want to be treat, the staff at speedway have a very nasty attitude

I went in and tried their 3.50 pizza deal...It's a great deal and the pizza is good! The clerk is pretty cool and helpful too.?

This seems to happen to me every time I pull in here When traveling through the area.FYI: Pump #2 is without paper today.Enter your own reviews for each pump that you stop at that does not have paper Then we can forward that to corporate.

Needs to replace rolls on pumps for receipts so you don't have to walk into store to get one everytime you need one. Pain in the butt

The cashier Deb is rude and always gives a problem when I visit this location. I don’t have a problem with any of the other workers. I come almost everyday.

Diesel pump is quite slow and doesn't automatically shut off. It overfilled the tank and poured fuel out in the ground.

The road leading in has gravel down since they are doing work on the roads around there just FYI incase someone doesn't want to take their car through rocks to get gas.
