A few years back I used to enjoy coming to this store with my uncle coz it was so exciting to see the food from back home and the store keeper was pleasant…..engaging with the people in the store was amazing coz we shared memories from home. I stopped by a few days ago and there was a lady who has bad customer service/ or just cold…. it’s as if she doesn’t want to be there or talk to customers. This happened last year as well when I stopped by and there was a man who was so cold. It’s like they are tired of seeing Africans walking in and excited to see stuff from home that they haven’t seen in years …..it’s like they are over it lol….. I’m not going there anymore, this happened twice so I think thats the culture now.

Best biltong in the US. Have tried bigger commercial brands, brands in NYC etc. use to drive an hour to get pounds of biltong. Joined the navy and now have ordered from all over the country. Recommend so highly, will be gifting biltong to my new father in law. (Will be his first impression) 10/10

Did get some ouma’s rusks that we want, and then asked for a nice piece of biltong not too dry, which we got but the taste of the biltong was terrible! Won’t buy any biltong there again!

Best bangers this side of the pond. Great selection of British fare as well as South African. Very friendly knowledgeable staff.

I wish I could give zero stars. I happened to go in on a day the owner was upset and got the WORST customer service imaginable. This COMPLETELY turned me off from buying anything…then I was instructed to stop asking questions about the products and either purchase or leave. I can’t make this up. As a fellow African I am disgusted!!

Fabulous products. Wors is delicious, pies are Fabulous. If you can in person get the wines. Great prices and absolutely delicious. No Bokomo products unfortunately. I need to ask if this is an option for future. Chocolates fresh and fun. Thank you for being there.

A taste of home! Located just off Independence Blvd. Great local store with good variety of South African food, beverages and biltong. They also stock some British brands.

I always order online -- super easy and fast. Their biltong and droewors are both absolutely fantastic. I will soon try more of their items. I feel like this place is super under the radar and if the rest of their foods are as good as their dried meats, they could and should absolutely lead a charge to expand South African foods to the mainstream in the US.
