So thankful to have been able save money and time by going to Midas in Matthews They saved me more than $600 on front brakes and rotor and let me know what the dealer and Firestone did not finish with a water pump replacement that was warrantied. My appointment was made the same day, work was completed while I had lunch nearby, and I was back on the road safely in just a couple of hours. I also have a lifetime warranty for replacement breaks on a car with less than 50,000 miles on it. Thank you, Midas.

I will never go back here again, I didn’t do my research so that was my fault but they mark up prices for the parts they use by 50% and more. I paid $830 for pads and rotors all around for my truck. The invoice showed they charged me $500 in parts, I checked online and rotors and pads for my vehicle were $230 for the premium ones and $160 for the standard ones. A week later my rear drivers side brakes were smelling burnt, I went back and they said I needed a new brake hose for the rear and they told me I needed a new caliper as well. They quoted me $396 which I refused to have done. On the invoice they quoted me $65 for a brake hose which can be bought for $20-$30 online and they had told me I needed a whole new caliper but on the invoice they quoted $165 for a remanufactured caliper bracket. A remanufactured caliper bracket sells for $20-$40 and a whole brand new caliper itself was $80-$95 online. They mark their parts up far too much. The guys are polite but the business practice is not right. They got me once but they will never get me again. As for the lifetime warranty, they can have it. I will be changing my own brakes from here on out. Don’t take my word for it, if you get a quote from them, take a few minutes to look at the invoice and see what they are charging you for parts and then do a quick google search and see how much these parts cost. You will be shocked to say the least. Nice guys, bad businessOne last thing to add, as I was reading the reviews, I noticed that one of the reviews was by the very same guy that generated my invoice. His name was on the invoice and on one of the reviews as well. It was a very unique last name so I’m pretty sure there is a good chance that they are both the same person. I maybe wrong but I would bet good money that they are both the same person, if it’s true, then there is a conflict of interest there.Update:The supposed owner responded to my review and gives me the generic link to share my experience with Midas online. I’m not wasting my time, you guys got me once and that’s the last time it will ever happen. If you are truly serious about doing something about this then you can look me up by my name and reach out to me. Daniel Teklemariam is my name. If not, then that is fine but don’t waste my time with connecting on Midas online and have me fill out a bunch of my info including my email address that you will simply use for marketing purposes and not do anything about my complaint. I’m just one person but rest assured I will steer everyone I can away from going to Midas.

Honda dealership told me I needed front brakes and rotor resurfaced and was going to charge me $100 more than Midas to do it. Mike came and told me that I still had more than 50% life left and they didn’t need to be done today. He then took the time to explain about the brake fluid and when I would know that the pads needed to be replaced. I appreciate the honesty very much and will definitely come back here when they do need to be replaced!

Cost for service needed matched their original quote. Time it took to do the service was also accurate and they found an additional item that needed to be addressed which a dealership did not catch. Always feel appreciated as a customer. They do great work at a very reasonable price.

I went to Midas after being told by Toyota that I needed front and back breaks. Midas did an expedition and told me my pads were like new and didn’t need changing. Great and honest work!

I called two weeks ahead to get pricing. They informed me that if I brought my own breaks it would be cheaper, so that’s what I did just to be told when I got there that “they don’t do customer breaks” not to mention he was rude about it. I’ll never ever go back period.

Something is suspicious with how these guys operate. They come off as predatory. If you don’t have any other option I’d take pics of your engine before you take it there, so they don’t try to make a weird change when you’re not looking. If you don’t know cars I’d suggest going to Woodies. Way more trust worthy.

BEWARE…. In May of 2021, I took my vehicle in for it’s 2nd tune-up. They told me I would need to sign up through their loan progress to receive the service. They charged me over $1,200+ for the turn-up on my 2008 Lincoln MKX. Because I’m a young impressionable black woman and was alone with no knowledge of car repair and trusted what was being told to me. 10mins into my service they came back to me and stated I needed new rotors as well so they stated they changed them without my knowledge and I had to pay for it as well. A hour later they told me my service was complete. When I asked to see the parts they took off my vehicle, they told me it was against policy so they couldn’t show me. When I returned to my vehicle, I noticed the rotors were completely rusted out. I asked why the rotors didn’t look new as they stated changing them out and I received no answer just laughs from the staff. I then took my car home and immediately noticed it was leaking unknown fluid underneath that was not there before. I called them back to inform them and was placed on hold then hung up on. After days, weeks then months of asking them about the repairs they claim they did but didn’t do. I was hit with a major credit bill from Equifax from this Midas store and their loan office. What they did to me has to be illegal and still today I’ve been fighting for an explanation for the unresolved repairs and still they refuse to answer. I’m seeking legal help at this time to resolve this matter.
