I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the install services provided by Lowe’s in Matthews. On February 26th, I was promised a delivery date for my fencing product, only to discover that my delivery did not arrive as scheduled. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that my delivery date had been changed without any notification provided to me.Furthermore, I spoke with Chris, the assistant manager, today, February 27th, and was assured that I would receive a call from the store with a new delivery time. Regrettably, I did not receive any such call. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially considering I have a scheduled install for Thursday, February 29th.Not only have I dedicated a significant amount of financial resources to Lowe’s, with over $40,000 in planned installs this month alone, but I have also incurred additional expenses by arranging for someone to be present at my property to accept the delivery— a delivery that never arrived.Due to the incompetence displayed by the Lowe’s team in Matthews in managing my installs and the subsequent inconvenience and financial burden imposed on me, I am seriously considering canceling all my projects with Lowe’s and seeking alternative options.I urge you to address this matter promptly and provide a resolution that restores my confidence in Lowe’s as a reliable provider of home improvement services.

DO NOT USE FOR HOME RENOVATION. Decided to use Lowes for a kitchen renovation. We thought to use a big name that would be reliable. WRONG. It took almost 7 months and was still not completed due to a breakdown in communication between the store who designed and ordered, the manufacturer and the installers. I see another customer who experienced something similar. It's a bad operation and no one at the top is addressing it. I wrote the Pres & CEO, Marvin Ellison three times on three different occasions throughout the process only for his team to forward to the same person in customer relations. All he did was make phone calls but the results were the same. Never a word from anyone in Sr. Management after spending tens of thousands of dollars at their store. I guess that's nothing. Read on... When all the cabinets were delivered they sat in my living room for 2 weeks before I could reach anyone who would return my call to finally start installing. Cabinets were not measured correctly. We had one cabinet so high above the stove that even the installer said we would have grease all over our cabinets within a year because the hood vent would be too high to vent out properly; it wasn't to code, so weeks go by for that cabinet to be reordered. We could see it was oddly high. We had another cabinet that didn't fit next to the wall oven so more weeks for that to be reordered. When it finally arrived it was the wrong color! so we wait again...time off from work and aggravation constantly for these unacceptable errors. There was a cabinet over the refrigerator that was not right so weeks again for that replacement. This process went on for months. Molding that never arrived to finish off around the cabinets. The installers write a report after each visit to order what's needed and something goes awry afterwards. Cancelled appointments now we're in November and my kitchen was still not completed so no Thanksgiving at my house. By Christmas we still had no countertops so all this time was just the cabinets. Lowes had a $1500 deposit for the countertops because of some 30% off special they had back in June/July so we put money down. Lowes told us it would be another 6 weeks for the counters to be cut and installed. I chose the material in July!! Then after we could do the backsplash! This is where we said no more. We asked for our deposit back which took several weeks for "review". Once all the cabinets were in place and completed sometime in December we decided to find another local small company to do the countertops. We used the app Thumbtack and found Granite Palace who installed the countertops in less than a week and they are beautiful! They gave me the address to the warehouse where all the slabs are. Lowe's has just those small samples at their store AND they were less than half of what Lowe's charged. I was so happy we decided to use someone else. My kitchen was finally done in January 2024 from June 2023. Never again.

Lowe's your company hit the lottery with Mr. Charles (employee). He is very professional, and knowledgeable. A Hardcharger!. A "Man of his word!". I called for help with a sheet of plywood that was cut previously. The plywood was cut off centered. I shared my issue over the phone with Mr. Charles. Mr. Charles stated " Come on, ask for me, and I'll take care of ya." Man, Lowe's he did. He corrected my issue in a timely manner. I able to get back to my "Honey do list," .. Mr. Charles , " Thank you, Sir!!"~ Well Done..

Get anything you need at Lowe's. It didn't take but 6 minutes for this trip. But you can wander around and spend some big bucks if you are not careful. Had another wonderful trip today ?.

This is actually not for this specific store but for the company itself. Ever since they got new CEO and paired up with Angi which was called different before bankruptcy their installation became not professional at all. Complete breakdown in communication between Lowe's, Angi, and their handymen, no show appointments, disrespect for customers property, and outright lie about what they do to fix the problem. I paid almost $500 for toilet and installation, got 4 no shows, water damage in my bathroom as a result of faulty installation plus damaged hardwood floor because an installer just dragged that toilet all over the floor. Told me that "this is two people job but they sent me alone" and " it's not my job to fix water damage - call your plumber". Really? That was result of your previous installer faulty job! Multiple calls to Angi and Lowe's installation department gave me headaches because these paper pushers only goal us to protect their jobs not customers interests. No manager called me about my complaints and compensation. The only one was installers' manager who was surprised to find out that his supposedly working in my house installer did not even show up but requested additional 4 hours for "fix the problem ". I was told that they have notes in my file about Lowe's managers calling me (false!), about me refusing compensation (false again!), and then offered me meager $100 Lowe's gift card for inconvenience?! Tried to resolve it through the local Lowe's store but was referred to Lowe's installation department back. I guess I have to go to the media now and get my insurance company and a lawyer involved. I made multiple attempts to work with them peacefully for a month with no resolution. I've been their customer for over 20 years and will never go there again! Beware and don't trust them too!

Customer service really makes a difference in the overall shopping experience - unfortunately I cannot recommend this Lowe’s due to the lack thereof: In utilizing the customer service from this store quite a few times now, Sandra on the CSR line has processed my transactions. Unfortunately in all interactions with her she has been very cold, unwelcoming, and unfriendly — contrary to the service that I normally get from CSRs at Lowe’s. It happened again today with my return experience: no greeting or welcome whatsoever. No “thank you” or any form of friendly energy. She literally just waved for me to come up to the counter like she didn’t want to help (check cameras around 12:10pm). Greeting is one of the most basic forms of human respect, and if you can’t even do that — you don’t need a role in customer service.I get the impression that she does not want to be there and is just ready to go home. I had to speak to her myself just to get her to literally use her words. Overall very cold energy. I received an extremely similar experience with the older gentleman from the paint department on 12/16/23 (I believe his name may have been Mike)- just wanting to get you in and out of the store with zero customer service etiquette or care whatsoever. Some of the employees in this store needs to be coached on basic customer service skills. It will be a while before I revisit this Lowe’s location.

Pretty much everything you need in stock. Lots of employees to ask questions, should you need help.

I’ve been multiple times in the last few months and the only option for check out is self-checkout. This is super annoying and makes me feel like I am doing the job that they should pay someone to do. The Saturday before Christmas I went in and purchased several supplies plus 5 gift cards. I specifically asked someone to check me out and was told no. I broke out of my nails trying to open the back of the gift cards to scan them. They would not scan and eventually someone came to scan them for me. It doesn’t seem to matter how many associates are working because there were 4 near the registers talking with only self-checkout available. I’ll take my business elsewhere in the future.

Horrible experience with the tool rental at this location. I was charged a cleaning fee after I spent an hour cleaning the trencher. See the images attached to this review. Also charged a late fee but I returned the equipment on time. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for rental equipment.

DONT NOT RENT ANY POWER TOOLS FROM THAT LOCATION!!! I went there and rented a nail gun because mine was broke. The guy did not check the gun prior to me leaving. I get to the job site and the gun doesn't work. So I called to let them know what the issue was, and the manager their was rude on the phone refusing to give me a refund unless I bring it back up their tonight, mind you I rented it at 5:30pm and the job site was 30 minutes away. I told him I could bring it first thing in the morning but he was so rude and basically making it seem like I was lying about the nail gun not working. I packed it up, nails and all and got back to store to return the nail gun and another manager name Mike helped me who was very nice. But the manager that I was on the phone who was rude to me refused to come and address me and tried to refuse my refund unless I walked the nail gun back to the rental department. I'm assuming his name is Jordan because he was back there hanging around and watching me with Mike but wouldn't say anything. This guy was very unprofessional not to mention he HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!!!!! I will definitely be reaching out to the cooperate office on this matter!!
