Store director Chris Maynard is the most rudest and unemotional store director there is. Shopping there is terrible, all the employees are just fantastic but that store director is something else. Why is Harris Teeter giving a man that position. He is abusing his power. I will relay this message to my Facebook and all groups who shop there.

If you're coming here to get a sandwich for lunch I hope you have two hours for a lunch break because you're going to need it! The people in the deli totally ignore you and if they do speak to you they act like you're bothering them.

If you need something at the Deli, just go to the other HT down the road instead. These guys at Idlewild never get it right...UNLESS...you get the older gray haired gentleman that works there. He pays attention. I needed to get some deli meat and cheese and I didn't have time to go to the one down the street and mess with the construction traffic. Ordered ahead on the app. Ordered 1/3 of turkey and a 1/3 of ham along with some cheese. Once again, the cut was wrong (thick sliced, and I mean thick, instead of shaved) and the weights were completely off. One was way under and one was way above. Serves me right for going there again. Last time, I left after standing there for 13 mins waiting on ANYBODY to come out from where ever they were hiding and help me. And I know it was 13 mins cause I looked at the time after standing there for a while so who knows how long I was actually there.

Alex is always very professional and a pleasure to come in and see, and he helps me out a lot understanding the medicines and reordering from my original doctor. Placed an online order to the deli for subs. Put all toppings and specifications for the order on the order easy to read and follow directions. I was missing toppings on subs, and the topping that were in it were pathetic. I've never had such a bad sub from Harris teeter in my life. The instructions were easy to follow, literally typed on a screen and they still failed to follow directions. Pathetic and disappointing will not be returning to this location. I ordered them June 18th @7pm.

Just appalled that this Harris Teeter only “recommends” masks instead of requiring customers to wear them. Saw a couple boldly walking around the store this morning with no mask. When I asked the greeter if masks weren’t required, she firmly stayed, “we recommend them but we aren’t going to refuse anyone service”. That’s all I needed to hear. Taking my business and my money to Publix where they understand that we are in a pandemic and the governor of the state has mandated masks. SHAME ON YOU HARRIS TEETER!!!

A little more stocked than the Teeter about a mile away, this store offers a better full on shopping experience. The staff at this location is okay, not really pleasant compared to other HT locations. The folks in the produce are always quick to say hello and are very nice but the rest are sporadic. Service was the differentiator between three stars and four stars for this location.
