I was so disappointed. Russ and I went there to get an eye prescription filled. The 2 receptionist treated us well and told us to pick out frames. Only one individual was ahead of us. We sat an waited to be called Neil chose to ask the 2 Caucasian female, that came in after us, what he could help them with even though my husband folder was sitting on the desk in his face. Then Loan, the manager, after finishing up instead of helping us, she call a couple to her desk who just walked in. She then tells Neill to help us but he is still with the 2 females. I was appalled at the "in your face racism" the two of them portrayed to us. Not a good place to go for black people.

The girl that answered the phone was rude as hell. Told me my glasses were not in but I had already called earlier and was told 1 pair was in. She gave me every excuse when she realized she was wrong and said her manager will tell me the same thing. The manager was very nice and did not say the same thing. The rude girl said it takes 3weeks and I need to wait another week! When I was told 7-10 days which it’s been 2wks already! Horrible customer service! They need to get rid of her!! SMH

I clicked on a fakebook link to make an appointment, tried calling multiple times only to be put on permanent hold. No indication as to how much the exam cost is, i just had a quick question but they wouldn't even stay on the phone long enough to listen. They will inundate you with follow up texts and emails wanting you to confirm your appointment but won't answer the phone past "please hold". I haven't even been in the front door and I already don't want to do business with them. From the recent similar reviews, I'd say this location has a severe management/staff issue. Pass! Going to a legit establishment to buy my glasses. And the $79 price that they advertise? Come on, people, are we that stupid?

This is the most inefficient business that I have dealt with lately. I would go to the Pineville location, don't waste your time at the Mathews location.

Just don’t go here. Techs are nice but the doctor does the worst eye exam. I paid 800 for two pairs of eye glasses. A year later I still have to take them off to read (they are progressive) seems he just refers you to Charlotte ENT and told me I have early onset cataracts. I do believe he told several people that I know of. Lazy and they just don’t care enough. Won’t be back

Absolutely unacceptable, had an appointment waiting for almost 2 hrs now for service. Noticed people who just walked in and was served right away found out they only had one sales rep and the manager decided to take the day off . That manager should be ashamed for putting that kind of hardship on staff

The worst. Called to see if my glasses were there. Girl tells me I already picked them up yesterday. I'm like umm no I haven't been out all week. She kept insisting that I picked them up already. Puts me on hold and comes back and says I picked them up in early 2023! I'm like wth??? I'm like ummm no that's wrong. I came in right after this new year. She kept saying no, no, no. Finally manager gets on and pulls up my record (wrong record). ? Finally after much back and forth, she comes back on the line and tells me my new glasses are there and ready for pickup...neverrrr again!!!

Pissed! Sales associates arguing in front of customers. No communication, I have to ALWAYS return my own call with this location! Notifications are not working for this location only(based on prior reviews). I originally went to Pineville location (no problem excellent customer service/received All notifications) but I dropped my glasses off for repair at the Matthews location because it's close to my house. My glasses came in6 days ago and NO ONE notified me,of course. NEVER EVER AGAIN.DO BETTER MATTHEWS LOCATION!

My son had a 12 noon appointment, we sat and waited until 3 pm. 3 HOURS.We were “promised” we were next only to then be told told we couldn’t be seen at all. We were then told the Dr. didn’t even know we were there and had left. They attempted to do a virtual visit but that also couldn’t be done. No one checked us in properly or seemed to know who was doing what. I will never come here again. If this is best…. DO BETTER. This is not a well run or staffed business at all. I received several email and text reminders, apparently your doctors need those too.Employee Timothy was very loud, he spoke about his son dying after a fentanyl overdose. Then when offered condolences, he responded by saying it’s okay he has other kids.The most unprofessional, disturbing experience I have had at a professional office in my life.

I had visited the Matthews location 3 weeks ago to order glasses.When I walked in, there was a salesman at the front desk speaking with a gentleman about steakhouses. He never bothered to look in my direction, say hello, or say someone will be with you shortly. Fortunately, Heather was there working with another customer, saw me and said have a seat and I will take care of you. Heather was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She was able to use my insurance and gave mea good price. This is a very busy location and clearly they could use more associates as Heather. The only issue is that I was advised the glasses would be in in about two weeks, and I called after the third week, only to find out they had come in but, no one notified me. It seems Heather is the one that is truly in control of this operation and should be acknowledged for her efforts. Thanks.
