They stated they wouldn't repair the car because they had to order it, I had a part ordered from the dealership, ready for pick up at the dealership.... The SAME part and SAME place where AAA would have gotten it, but AAA would have charged me $200 more. I understand not wanting to install aftermarket customer parts, but this was a part they would be picking up from the dealership, I just had it already ordered to save $. That's bonkers folks.

I've been a AAA member since getting my driver's license 30+ years ago. Highly recommend them in general. That being said, this particular location is close to home and we take both our vehicles there for everything from routine maintenance to inspections to all things a car would need. The entire staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and always honest. Also, the reports with photos, automated updates, etc are amazing. All that and the many other benefits of being a member. As long as able to drive, I'll have AAA and as long as I live anywhere near this location I will not take any of my vehicles anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend.

Jose and his associate did a great job replacing my car battery. He called when he was on his way, ran a test to ensure my battery was dead, and then replaced with the correct battery. Very happy with his service!Service: Battery

I was there to renew my AAA Emergency service card (Premier-200 miles). People were FRIENDLY to help me. It's a SHAME that they had to downsize and this location was the closest to me. It used to be down Albemarle Rd about a mile from me, I hated that but I guess they are having the SAME PROBLEMS that a lot of companies are having NOW because of the way things are going on in this country. Sad but TRUE.???

This is the first time I have used AAA auto care and my last. I went to this location last week and I'm quite disappointed in the service here. I made an appointment for 3pm because I was having issues with my air conditioning. I knew it was either the coolant or a malfunctioning fan. I didn't get my car back until 5pm. The issue was the fan and they needed to order the fan to replace it. That's fine but why did it take 2 hours to tell me that? Also, they said I needed new brakes. They didn't offer to put new brakes on my vehicle they just gave me a paper telling me what maintenance my car needed. Huh? I'm confused within the first hour I was there you could have advise me of the issues and asked if I wanted to have my brakes replaced. So basically it took them 2 hours for that. (Please note there was no one else there getting their car serviced.) This was a total waste of time. If you have time to waste take your car here but if you don't have time for games take your car elsewhere.

The lack of professionalism and neglect is far from what you would expect from a company with the reputation like AAA. My vehicle recently broke down at the beginning of July. I have had great experiences with AAA Matthews in the past and had the car sent there. I expected it to be an easy fix, seeing that a car that isn’t getting enough fuel would be easy enough for a professional shop to narrow down. I called in several times, they gave me the run around, and 1.5 WEEKS later I received a call from George, that my car needed to go to the dealer because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. That is fine. I had the car towed to the Toyota dealership, which gave me a list of parts that needed to be fixed to properly diagnose the car. Something that AAA Matthews did not do. Rather than play musical car parts and spend $1,200 on things that may not even fix the issue, I decided to have the car towed back to my house so I could fix some of the quoted issues and see if I could get a better idea of what could be wrong. I then called George back, because I never received a report on what they did to troubleshoot the issue or what they found was going on. I then proceeded to question George on what they tested and wasn’t given a straight answer the entire time. I asked what codes the car has, he gave me one answer, then retracted it and changed his story. This upset me that I felt my time, and questions were not being valued. George proceeded to tell me that my vehicle was “rigged up” and said, “it sounds like you aren’t trying to have another shop charge you for a diagnostic”, when I simply wanted to know what was checked and tested on the car. I asked George to speak to his manager at least 6 times and he claimed that he was the manager, with arrogance, and that he couldn’t do that. I persisted, and he hung the phone up. This is all on a recorded line. He then sent me the inspection report, which included ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, about the fact that my car would not run. They destroyed an air intake hose that had a crack in it and didn’t even quote me to replace it. I had to get that quote from Toyota ($500) before I realized it was even destroyed. He also told me they tested the fuel pump, and it was fine. I ended up spending 2 days doing research on the car, narrowed the issue down to the fuel pump, and had it replaced under warranty by AAA South End. Something that could have been diagnosed and fixed within 3 days. Now here we are, 3 weeks and 3 days later, and I finally have my car back. This shop needs to take a serious look at the professionalism and dedication that is going into helping their members or repairing vehicles in general. They simply do not care. I requested that someone reach out about this entire ordeal and have yet to hear anything. I have been a member since 2014 and will not take any of my vehicles to either of these shops again. Nice folks. They are a bit more pricey than our usual mechanic. When it is simple like oil change, etc, they're fast.

George in the automotive department is wonderful and easy to work with. He stands by what he says. That says a lot about a person. Thank you for taking care of servicing my truck and saving me a lot of time and frustration.

Great staff. Fairly easy to get an appointment and they give you detailed reports. Even when you have critical things to fix they don’t try the salesman tricks or try to force you.

Had the oil changed (over priced) but good service.They were unable to rotate tires because of the lug nuts are the Crome cap type that have become loose over the lugs so they refused to rotate because of the ability to get the proper Tork.I understand their process and they helped me find a set of lugs to fit my Dodge 1500 on amazon. Ordered just need them to arrive. I wounder if they will rotate the tires and replace with the new lugs at No charge...... we will see soonServices: Tire rotations

I am a AAA Member and had a flat tire on the highway after dark. AAA was very helpful, kept me safe and promptly towed my car. I asked them to take it to the AAA Repair Center in Matthews and I am glad that I did. Chris and Arlis called me promptly and were very forthright about my needs without overselling. They estimated correctly and were able to meet my needed timeline for the repairs.Service: Tires

The manager George is terrible I payed 1800 for an oil Leak only to be last laugh at and hung up on after I express that the issue was not resolved but pouring now instead of the original leak..No compromise no solution just got hung up and told I can take my truck somewhere else…I will never come back here until George is no longer the manger…has a manger you should conduct yourself to a higher standard not laugh an say my vehicle is oldService: General repairs & maintenance
