Clean, no frills stop. Gas is cheap, store is well stocked, restroom is clean, and patrons are friendly.

Some of the employees (2)need to be reminded they work in a service that deals with the public. I've worked with the public over 15 years & if I spoke or acted like these 2 workers I would have definitely been fired on the spot & I damn sure didn't call another's woman's husband:honey,babe,darling,or any other cute words that come from their mouth, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE WIFE IS STANDING RIGHT BESIDE HER HUSBAND. I WANTED TO PLAY WITH THAT EMPLOYEE, BUT MY SWEET LOVING HUSBAND TALKED ME OUT OF HAVING FUN. LUCKY ?

Rather dirty, inside and out. Only four pumps, and the only one free was broken, so I ended up filling up at an Exxon in Marion instead. A pity; the location is ideal for those looking for a convenient fuel stop on the way up to Mt. Mitchell.
