We just moved away from Cherry Point but I wanted to comment on how dissatisfied we have been with this commissary hoping someone finally does something about the mismanagement of this place.
For the first two years I shopped there every week even though their stock was always low on certain things and their produce turned bad within a day of buying it.
I really tried but eventually gave up and shopped locally instead. I even spoke to the manager a few times and my comments fell on deaf ears. He does not really care which is sad. There are up to 6 new squadrons coming and that means a ton of marines and their families will be residing in the area and they won’t even have a commissary to shop at if DECA doesn’t do something to overhaul it.
We have shopped at commissaries all over the world, some big and some small and this is definitely the worst of all of them and I’m not exaggerating!
It’s sad to see young marine families having to go out in town to shop because the commissary can’t get their act together.

I go with my daughter to help out with her shopping. She does well and the people know her there.My daughter's husband is a retired Marine.It's very clean and very busy, so make sure you have the time before you do shopping!
