BEWARE OF EXPIRED FOODS & DRINKS AT THIS LOCATIONStopped by this location yesterday (1/18/24) to grab some essentials & I picked up three bottles of Ocean Spray Cran- Raspberry. After getting home & drinking one of the bottles, I noticed the best by date was 1/14/24. Not a huge deal since it was only 4 days past. Today I went to finish off the other two (no point in wasting them) & saw that these two had a best by date of MAY 9TH 2023! There is absolutely no excuse for having such expired products still on the shelves

They have cheap prices, but not an organized store to say the least. You can save on detergent toothpaste, sometimes beer, so it’s not all that bad.

I love this store. Always clean & so organized with plenty of stock. But I'm disappointed in their hiring policy. They have a outside banner & several homemade signs advertising for pt/ft help. Seems to need help badly but only if it's at their convenience when you let them know what days you can work. Maybe that's why they always have a staff shortage. Will always be the same till you change. Good luck with that.

So as most of you know, I have Crohns Disease and I use a lot of toilets In my travels. This one topped the cake. Me and my boyfriend stopped to get a cold drink and use the facilities. I went after him because I take longer. Anyways, while I was In the bathroom, the older lady with glasses first asks my boyfriend if I'm still in there and he answers yes. Hes being nice because he always is. Then she says, she better clean it up because anyone In there that long has made a mess. Look, I don't know what customers she has had but I'm not one. So, I didn't buy anything from her rude tail. She needs some customer etiquettes classes. I would not suggest this store on her shift.P.S. I had to clean the toilet before I sat on it. It was already nasty. She needs to do her own job the right way.

Recently (Last year-ish?) there have been many positive changes here. Staff is friendly, helpful, and the shelves are well stocked. Things are much cleaner and organized than they were when the store first opened up. I regularly visit for small items needed as I am opening a business a couple doors down. Thank You DG and more specifically, Mark Flynn.

Very nice staff. This store in Manteo has everything food, dairy, clothes, swimware and beach needs at best prices! The one in Waves on Hatteras Island is always out of everything. Stop in Manteo and stock up before you head to Hatteras Island. Fill your gas tank too at Quality gas on the Causeway at Whalebone Junction or pay the high prices south.

Very clean store and organized but I asked to use the restroom at the cashier. And the woman that worked there very rudely said “you can’t use them” So I had to walk across the road.The bathroom sign stated to ask at the front for a key. They should have simply wrote they weren’t open to customers.I’ve never been into a dollar general who has refused their own customers to use the restroom.
