“We recently visited the Outer Banks, and encountered car trouble the day before we intended to drive home. We spent all morning trying to find a shop to fix our problem, and visited Ocean Auto in the process. They were unable to get to it that day, or the next, but graciously recommended a couple of other places nearby (who couldn't help either.) As it turned out, we chose them to do the work, rented a car to get home, and returned the following week to pick ours up. They were totally accommodating in letting our vehicle sit on their lot until we could get back to it, and the price for the work was just about what we would have expected.
To sum up, I felt like we were as well taken care of there as we would have been at the shop near our home, where we've been going for 20 years. I see no reason to give them less than five stars.”

“Got into some outboard motor trouble while on vacation and felt this gentleman went above and beyond to help. Not only did he help find the right plugs but took time to ask questions to see what issues I was having rather than just trying to make a sale. Price was half of others locally. Office manager at this location was super helpful and worked us in on short notice near closing time. Technician found and fixed the source of the leak and had us safely back on the road very quickly. Awesome service and staff, great price!”

“Had car issues this past weekend. Had a mobile mechanic come out, but couldn’t complete the repair work. I was referred to Pugh’s, but told they didn’t open until Monday morning…it was Sunday. I called before the “open hours” on Monday, and had a tow truck there within 30-mins! My car was taken in, and a THOROUGH inspection completed. They didn’t just start throwing parts on it, they ACTUALLY dove into what the issues were. I can honestly say this mechanic shop is TOPNOTCH! Highly recommend if you ever have car issues around the Kill Devil, Nags Head, Kitty Hawk area!!”
