Genuinely great motel. The owner is very attentive, and we needed late checkout, then decided to rent another night and needed late checkout the next day, and he never batted an eye. He worked with us and made sure it all worked out. We had some pretty noisy neighbors and he was more than willing to let us change rooms.
As for the room, you know you're paying for some crazy suite or something, but you Definitely get your money's worth. Comfortable clean beds, a nice clean bathroom, and the AC was definitely putting in overtime with the summer heat, but still kept us cool. Plus you can't beat this location, walking distance from some great food and places. Will be staying here again next time.
Rooms: Clean, simple, and comfortable, exactly what we needed.
Walkability: Easy 10 minute or less walk for food and bars, and gift shops
Food & drinks: So many choices, legends and salty dogs for a drink and some bar food, Mexican just another 2 minutes from the hotel.

Stayed for Mini Truck Nationals last week. Stayed for 5 days and could not be happier. The location was perfect, rooms were clean. The owners are amazing! Multiple times they seen us out and about they would ask if everything was good and if we needed anything. Price is fair for event weekend. Someone who truly cares about their guests! Very easy to talk to. I have already booked my room there for next year! That is how much I enjoyed the place.
Rooms: Room includes dresser, TV, mini fridge, microwave, chairs, and vanity!
Nearby activities: There is the festival grounds if you are there for a event. Wheels through time museum is close, shops and miniature golf are near by.
Walkability: Maybe a block to Festival grounds, great breakfast place across the street.

I had an excellent stay at this Motel. The owner/managers were very kind and attentive.
The room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
They had a microwave and spacious fridge. For $56 a night I received more than expected.
Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is great for being between Cherokee and Asheville, the restaurants are good, the rooms are clean, and the owners are very friendly. For anyone looking to elope, it's right next door to a cute little wedding chapel, too! So it's perfect for getting ready and going to the chapel in your day.

On the plus side, the room appeared very clean. The cost was cheap. On the minus side, the no smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and the bed was hard. I would have given them a 5 if no cigarette odor. The motel is dated but clean and cheap.

Very quiet perfect fit for laid back area. Kind of nostalgic. Great shower pressure plain and basic. Would stay again. Rocking chairs outside room were great.

The room was cheap and somewhat clean (stale cigarette smoke permiated everything). Several items were lacking however of which are noted below. We will not be making a return visit.* One lamp was missing the plug, the plug was missing and wires were oxidized (had to have been like this for some time).* The microwave was unplugged and the cord would not reach the nearest socket. Had to take it out of its cabinet to move it in order to reach a socket.* The rooms are currently accessed by RFID, the inside portion of the lock in our room was torn off. We had quite a bit of difficulty unlocking the door from the outside with either provided card (typically we dont have this issue so user error was ruled out).* The bathtub had roughly a foot long split in the bottom covered with a patch which may be concerning for some folks.* A non smoking room was requested and it seems all non smoking rooms are 2nd floor only. However, dont be suprised if the requested non smoking room has been smoked in recently which is not uncommon.Nearby activities: Close to restaurants and activities.Walkability: Several restaurants and activities within one mile.
