Thank you, Premier and Cozy Bear Cabin owners! Seems like you'd thought of everything (down to the directions for using the fireplace). The beds and furniture were SUPER comfy. A rustic feel, but all of the modern necessities (great Internet, WiFi and cell reception).The Cozy Bear was a fun and RELAXING family vacation (not easy with kids)! Hot cocoa on the deck. Stargazing on the swing chairs. Cuddling on the oversize couches. Playing the retro Nintendo and Atari games with the kids. Everything lived up to expectations. We'll be coming back to the Cozy Bear Cabin for our next trip to NC!

Sweet retreat cabinThe positivesThe beds were insanely cozy, extremely soft and comfortable. HUGE closets which was a great surprise for tucking away luggage and totes The gas fireplace was the easiest fireplace I've ever used. The selection of cookware was unlike anything I've ever seen for a vacation rental. They thought of nearly everything. The decor was on point. The views were breath taking, especially from the hot tub. An unexpected perk was Netflix, a great way to relax after a busy day of adventures.The cleaning list was refreshing, thankfully. Many places leave a ridiculous list even with a high cleaning fee. We had minimal to do. The trash was a pain but it's the area, no fault of the property managers.Plenty of extra towels and linens and the washer and dryer we're a wonderful added bonus.ConsThat driveway was an absolute nightmare. We were told it was sizeable enough to get a trailer down there for our motorcycles. (The description when we booked absolutely did not mention it wasn't motorcycle friendly) we had to rent a storage place in town for our trailer and bikes. Our big truck was a challenge to get in and out on its own even. Very steep, narrow and loose gravel with big drop off on the side.If you're expecting a nice hot shower, ain't happening. The hot water lasted maybe 10 min, not exactly ideal with 4 adults. We had to stagger showers out through the morning and night and make em super quick to accommodate everyone.The firepit are was lacking. A cheap little pit definitely didn't match up to the rest of the amenities. We didn't even bother to use it after buying wood.The upstairs is a complete waste of space. 2 toddler beds and a small card table. Luckily we didn't need use of the upper area though.All in all we would utilize them again but perhaps a more accessible cabin.

Don’t ever use this place !!!!!! They do not honor what they say!!! Tv never worked, hot tub was low on water and no way to add water to it ! Very rude as well! I called the number they left on the paper work and had no response! Very hard to access with no warning of the road until we finally arrived! Thank god we had 4 wheel drive!

I did reservation with this company for one of their properties from December 23 to December 30 and everything was paid already I even rent a car that cost me $2500 not refundable hi son I have emotional issues and because that we have a support service dog so we ask them if we can bring with us the dog so they say no and that was fine with me I told them I found a place to put the dog and not need to cancel the reservation for the vacation today I got an email from this company that they are canceling the reservations with any explanation why we didn’t break any rules or did something wrong now I’m stuck with the rental car that cost me $2500 and I don’t know what to do this is not the way to treat people or customers and very highly not recommend on this company

I did not deal directly with the rental company- another member of our party booked two homes for a company retreat. We did not have any issues that needed service.,My review is specific to Smokey’s Vista View. What a fabulous home! First, the view is truly spectacular. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and very well-appointed. The beds and sofas are comfortable, the linens of good quality, and everything was clean. I was most impressed by the many thoughtful touches- night lights, towels for the hot tub, extra blankets, throw blankets, plentiful outside furniture, plastic storage containers for leftovers, and more. I work in the vacation rental business on the Outer Banks, and it’s clear that the owners of this home care about guest experience. I highly recommend a stay at Smokey’s Vista View!

My husband and I rented Sweet Retreat for a week this August. Booking a cabin with air conditioning was our first requirement as temperatures this time of year are well into the 90s, even in the mountains. Unfortunately the AC went out in the cabin our first night. Calls to Premier Vacation Rentals (using the phone numbers we were directed to call in case of an issue) were unanswered during business hours and despite leaving a message our call was not returned. Finally we called the “after hours emergency” number as a last resort. After a few hours someone did call us back and eventually the AC was fixed. Sadly this was on day four of our seven day vacation. Temperatures in the house were over 80 degrees, we could not sleep and had to spend our days away from the cabin due to the temperatures.We were given a survey to fill out that requested if something went wrong with our stay to please let them know so they could “make it right” before posting online. We completed the survey, wrote a detailed note about what we experienced with the AC and that we would like partial credit for our stay since we did not get what we booked. We turned the survey in with our key in the drop box on the day of departure. When we didn’t hear anything from Premier, I followed up with an email asking for a status update and received no response to that either. Today I received a notice that our security deposit was refunded but no credit for the lack of AC or even a response to address our concerns.While the cabin was nice I would caution readers to rent with Premier because of the lack of customer service. If anything goes wrong do not expect responsiveness or even a response to “make things right”. Very disappointing.

don’t ever use this this company, they don’t respect their customers at all. Problems with the houses during the vacation, and they ignore you. They never answer the phone, if you have a problem with them, don’t even bother to call because they just won’t pick up.
