Hotel charged my credit card on file before I arrived, was my corporate card and this was a personal trip. No Marriott has ever done this before. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Extremely inconvenient and unprofessional all the way around.

Bugs galore, cold water, peeling/leaking bathroom, permanent musty smell. Somehow everyone here is super nice though, at least that’s a plus.

We have stayed here several times, and have had generally pleasant experiences. On this visit, we found it less so. First off, parking is tight and limited, and we were pulling a trailer. There was literally no where to park it, and it wasn't possible to unhitch it. Eventually we had to leave it, along with our vehicle, in a restaurant lot nearby, with no lighting and no security. When we arrived in our room, we found a lumpy mattress, furniture that has seen better days, and a toilet that doesn't flush properly. Our level of exhaustion saw us staying there to sleep, but I'll try to make it further south or.north next time.

Super comfy bed. Clean room. I was asked 3 times within 24 hours how my stay. Breakfast was good.

I should have read the reviews before staying. Rooms were outdated and our bed was not comfortable. It seemed like a 400 pound person had slept on my side for weeks. Seemed like a place line workers would get put during a crisis. Staff was very friendly though. I guess what do you expect for $100 a night? Will drive further to Santee next time where Fairfield is great!

Great place it has new everything! Room was clean and quiet. Staff is so accommodating ! And the free breakfast is terrific. Great coffee and waffles or woffee and caffles like we say back home. ☆☆☆☆☆ Thanks Jimmy!!!

Room decor is old, dark and depressing. As a business traveller, one would expect much more welcoming accomodations.
Staff were great, breakfast was good. It's just that the room were so old it felt like I was staying at a guest room at gramma's house.
I checked out the next morning and moved to the Hampton inn.

While the stay was fine, the hotel failed miserably in the area of Customer Service. I booked this room the same day through our company Concur. When I first booked the room, it indicated the booking failed so I did it again. Then two bookings showed up. Since it was the day of arrival, I called the hotel immediately, within one minute, and cancelled the one reservation. I was provided a cancellation number so I felt the issue had been resolved. I used the other booking and stayed the night.
I was then billed for both rooms. I called and explained to both the hotel and Marriott what had happened. Marriot said it was up to the hotel and the hotel would not reverse the charges.
Until now I have been very loyal customer to Marriott properties. Platinum Elite status.
With this approach to handling this case, I will not stay at any Marriott again. It is obvious to all that a mistake in the system caused the error and I tried my best and had assumed I had handled it correctly.
Its not the charge it is the principle involved. While Marriott said it was completely up to the hotel, it seems they should be more selective in their selections of franchise partners.

So we checked in and the place looked old on the outside, but the lobby seemed like it had been updated and was fairly clean. The we got into the elevator, which smelled of pot. Then even stronger in the hallway. And then even stronger in the room. My daughter asked why it smelled like skunk in the room. At least my wife and I had a laugh.
So went to bed that night, and will on my phone I see someone crawling on the bed. It was a cockroach. So literal roach motel.
The rooms weren't filthy, but they weren't particularly clean either. This location really should be debranded by Marriott. Definitely not up to franchise standards.
