Pathetic is putting it nicely. They cannot get things in stock to save their life, yet, the isles are ALWAYS blocked with carts from the back room like they are stalking shelves...except no employees in sight. Literally this is just standard procedure here. Prices are high, choices are poor, service is bad, there is nothing good to say about them. This is not because of the virus, they have always been like this! Now they're closed because it snowed an inch YESTERDAY...the roads are all perfectly clear, no reason at all for these morons to be closed. 2 days closed for an incredibly minor snow event with clear roads!! The only reason they can stay in business is their location, if they were not the only store around they would have been out of business years ago.

I have been to all of the Food Lions surrounding the lake. Compared to Norlina and the 3 different Food Lions in Roanoke Rapids area the vegetables and fruits at this location are the freshest. They have a fairly good selection of deli meat. I understand Littleton Spirits has Boars head meats and deli if that is what you are seeking. However the employees at the Food Lion meat and deli area are very attentive. I would avoid going on the weekend or go early to avoid the weekend shoppers. The parking lot is jammed on holiday weekends. This Food Lion has a bigger selection because they will honor special request orders when able. It is very clean. The employees are all very helpful and welcoming. Thank you for providing this area with a well stocked and clean grocery store.

The staff at this Food Lion are some of the nicest people we've encountered in a long time. They all seemed to get along and joke with each other. From the time we walked in thru checkout everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly! Keep up the awesome work and you helped make 2021 feel like a promising year!

In 20 minutes I was there I spotted 4 employees - one of them was going up and down the store I crossed his path 4 times - wearing their mask below their mouth. While most customers were diligently wearing their mask proper the employees are screwing up by just not modeling the right attitude. Pathetic.

What a mess. I am not talking about what food was available, in the height of the Coronavirus, I did not expect more than what they had. My complaint is the lack of managing the store for the safety of your customers. Even though the store was not that busy, maybe fifty shoppers in the store, few shoppers followed the directional guidelines and nobody from the store bothered to do anything about it. Employees stocking the shelves at a prime time (5:00 pm) and made no attempt to move out of the way when you passed through. If you think your job is done by just posting a few directional signs, you are mistaken. Without someone from the store to enforce the rules, what good are they? I would not go to this store if you are concerned about contamination because they don't care.

I like the story it was well kept and very clean. I was standing in one of the aisles and listening to one of the guys who stock. Talk over the mic system to say something rude knowing that I fully could hear him. The guy was the head stocker I come to find out and he speaks down to his people like they don't understand what he's talking about that's rude. If you going to talk to someone find them and talk to them don't blast it over the mic system. So the Food Lion in Lake Gaston is a nice store it's just try to stay away from lead stocker. The lesson here is treat others the way you want to be treated. The other lesson is do your job spend less time on the mic tell other people how to do their job
