Always felt welcome and comfortable here. Sometimes the lobby is busy but expected since its not a huge bank.Wait times to see a CSR have never been very long even without an appointment.Overall I highly recommend them over the other banking establisments for their "hometown feel".

I visited the Lexington branch and the lady I was given wasn’t very nice or helpful. I was really in a great excited mood that morning on 9/20/2023. I wanted to open a savings account for our very first grandchild. I explained that I wanted to start a CD and asked her about the details. Without looking at my information or anything she bluntly told me that I needed to save money before I opened one because it’s not worth it if you don’t. ? There was no one waiting in the waiting room area. I had been the only one and she really made me feel like she didn’t have time to deal with me. I said a silent prayer for her and even though I kept smiling she never once smiled back…I did opened a CD because that was my whole reason for going there….only now I completely regret even doing so and going there. She didn’t really give any information, only to state that it really wasn’t worth it….I just feel that I wasted a trip and her time, all for the way she made me feel.I know she’s not happy working there because didn’t offer any alternatives or anything. I didn’t even open a savings account for our grandchild because she said that we didn’t need to since we already had a savings account. That savings account has always been for us. We wanted to start one for our grandkids…

Rude, impolite and not helpful at all! I had problems with an account the lady Ronda was completely rude. The person called on the phone to help was rude. They treated me like I was stupid. Would not listen to me. I can't even understand how she has a job the way she treats customers. I will not go back to this place. I was literally crying I was so mad when I left this place. I have never been so disrespected. Really considering switching banks! I called 1 800 to speak to someone about my experience and was treated just as bad.

Went in with my sister to open a savings account because the credit union we were with has been sold twice and has changed so much. They were very friendly and polite. We had everything done in less than 15 minutes. Great Job folks!!!!

I typically deposit money once a month due to a very busy work/school schedule. I went to the Lexington branch and the teller decided to give me a lecture on depositing money and that I should depositmore often. I had many ones (waitress). However I turned them all face up and the same way. She huffed and puffed the whole time as she put them in the machine. After I left I really was astonished that a bank employee would lecture me about depositing my money into their bank. I am so disappointed with customer service. I’ll refrain fromvisiting Lexington again as I don’t feel like being insulted again and made to feel like an inconvenience. If the bank would like to know I came around 1:30 april 11th. i didn’t get her name but she was older and had brown hair. i really hope something gets done about this.

Okay. First off I want to say that most of the workers at this bank are helpful and phenomenal people who will try to help the best they can. My family has been with this bank for over 10 years. My mother, Linda Bobo, love them. But if I don't speak about this incident then there is a good chance that it might happen again to someone else. Recently I visited this branch with my sister to add her as an authorized user on my credit account. We were ushered into one of the workers' office and sat down. I explained what we wanted to do and without looking up my SSN or information was told bluntly that the request I wanted couldn't be done. I was taken aback by this because this request was performed for me once before at a branch in winston-salem with my husband. But I remained quiet since I wasn't sure if there was something I had missed. I was so confused. When I got home I called member services to get a second opinion. And was informed that what I was told was incorrect and I was directed to the branch on silas creek parkway. I sat with someone there and they simply printed out a piece of paper and I signed my name on the dotted line. Done. It took less than 5 minutes. Now I don't why I was told this was something they couldn't do at this branch. Maybe this woman was uneducated in matters of my request with which I blame the branch for not making sure that their employees are well-informed. Or if this woman simply had no desire to help me or my sister. Either way. Its not a good look. So to others if you are looking to get help with matters of loans or credit unfortunately I cannot recommend this branch as much as I enjoy the other workers here. Go to the branch on silas creek parkway or stratford in winston salem. As this is what I plan to do moving forward. Otherwise, this bank will still be my go-to for any other needs.

I’ve been banking with SECU for years and never had an issue. Until I make an ATM deposit and they cancel the check right before a vacation. Called the branch multiple times no answer keep getting transferred to other branches that can’t help with the situation.

I have banked with SECU for years and until recently it was great. I understand things are strained in our current situation, but the customer service or rather lack thereof, has been very disappointing. I can no longer recommend this branch.
