“The Sherwin-Williams Paint store in Lexington, NC was overall helpful to me for what I needed when I was wanting to do some painting on some bathroom cabinets and furniture when I still lived in the city of Lexington. I stopped by here sometime in the summer of 2023.I needed some paint can openers and stirring sticks and I did not want to wait days to receive them in the mail from Amazon. So I called Sherwin-Williams in my former town of Lexington, NC, and asked how much they cost at this store, so I could have them that same day by driving over myself to pick them up to begin my painting project.And I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the employee inside said he would give me paint can openers and stir sticks with no cost if I dropped on by. This is very good, as Amazon pricing for these two supplies can be well over $10 dollars. Thus, I knew I would be driving over here that same day. And he was polite on the phone too, which is always a plus.When I arrived, I decided I also wanted a low price paint brush solely for this painting project since my older brush I already had at home seemed somewhat dried out and hardened. So I looked around the store, but the paint brushes that day were more than I wanted to pay. However, the man at the cash register asked me what I was looking for and I told him I wanted a basic brush for such and such price. He said there was none but another man working inside handed me a paint brush that fit my price point and after looking over the packaging, I realized it would do just fine. So they helped me find what I needed in the end.When I arrived at the register, I told the man I was the person who called earlier about needing some paint can openers and paint stirrers and he did indeed give them to me as he said he would for no cost. Although he seemed less friendly in person compared to on the phone, he was still ok to deal with at the register and I did not notice any blatant rudeness, and I was given exactly what I needed for my home paint job as he promised.Overall, my one time short experience here was positive, the store is in a convenient easily accessible location in Lexington, the store staff will help you on the phone and in-store, and there is plenty to choose from for your painting needs. And I think Sherwin-Williams as a company itself has high reputation when it comes to anything related to painting.I am giving 4 stars due to how some people may think the paint brush prices are higher than other larger retailers like Amazon, Lowes, or Wal-Mart, which from what I can tell, they indeed are.”
