“So I've been doing business with pawnway for over 15 plus years now with their store in Lexington and high point and they've always been great the staff has always been great. So I sent a good friend there because they have layaway she had put a scooter on layaway for her daughter for Christmas she had been paying on it for a couple of months finally got it paid off it's about 2 months before Christmas and she's finally able to take it home but keeps it in the box because it's brand new and it's not wanting to put it together till Christmas night. Well Christmas night comes around and as she takes it out of the box realize the main piece is missing which made the toy unusable ruined the little girl's Christmas because this was supposed to be her big Christmas present. I was actually with her the day she had put it on layaway and she looks at the guy behind the counter not going to name no names because the guys a very good worker and always has been very helpful but he looks at her and says it's all new everything's in the box everything should be good because she made a point to ask so everything's in the box that should be in it right ? And he said of course it's brand new why wouldn't it be so we all gave a little laugh and smile at each other and he says you'll have no problems so we went with his word. So couple of days after Christmas day that Monday we try to take it back up to them and their first reaction is do you have a receipt which I completely understand that you should always keep your receipt but you know because it was on layaway they did have proof that she had paid on it and that she did buy it from them but because she did not have the receipt there was absolutely nothing they could do for her but the most upsetting part is this had ruined a little girl's Christmas and yeah we can go online and order the part for 60 extra bucks and have it shipped and she can finally use it but that's not the point I felt like the shop should have been able to work something out because they were selling something brand new that it should have fell on them to replace but as you know it all stores are this way if you don't have the receipt they normally will never do anything for you. So at first I was so frustrated with them because I had done so much business with them but you always have to look at it from two sides I guess the moral of the story is always keep your receipt and two when you buy something new check it before it's time to actually give it to someone.”

“My fiance and I went into Hayes today for the first time, and we were so blown away by the amazing customer service! We were greeted by Payton, who helped us the whole time. She was extremely sweet and personable and they worked very well with us to get exactly what we wanted. We were able to get my fiancé's engagement ring made to fit him perfectly (customized size), and get a great engraving! And we got it at an amazing and very reasonable price! I can't wait to go pick it up. We will definitely be returning and will only be shopping here from now on for our high end jewelry needs!”
