Tucked away on a corner of North Carolina mainly as an river access park, but it has a lot of options including a trail head, swings, fishing pier, a produce market and the most fun one being an icecream booth.

Gorgeous park in all areas. I just wish they had an unlocked restroom on the trail side for the hikers and dog walkers. We have to go over by the playground for a restroom.

This park is a go to for our family. Love the playground, trails, events they host, and the fact that you can get amazing quality fish from the market when in season.

Love the Riverwalk trail the crushed gravel trail is compact and manual and electric wheelchair accessible. One side trail is not and is marked as no wheelchair access. Most parts have a slight incline with only one or two small moderate incline areas. I had no difficulty navigating the trail in my manual wheelchair.

Its a great place for a nature stroll for the kids and is pet friendly. You can fish or just enjoy the view of the river. Be weary of the alligator ? that shows up sometimes tho.

What a beautiful spot in Leland! With plenty of paved parking, it's a perfect place to be on a nice day.We lucked out too! I was looking for a place for my daughter to get the energy out and, with good reviews, headed toward Riverwalk Park. It just so happened to be their Christmas market and fair - with face painting, vendors, special treats and games. My little one could have cared less about the aforementioned happenings. She cares about playgrounds and this park had one of the best we've seen. It was crawling with kids, so even better for entertainment! She played for hours. There was plenty of space, nooks and crannies for kids to run and do their own thing. The equipment all looked in good repair and the park was very clean. Everything is surrounded by mature trees so the playground was shaded during our visit. As lunch approached, we walked over to the water for some calm & relaxation. There are a couple of boat ramps, though I believe I was there at low-tide as one looked inaccessible. There were also a couple of swings to sit and look out over the water. I noted a walking trail as we were leaving and would certainly return to see the rest of the park. I was very impressed with my first visit here.

I always go and visit when I am in the area. Such peace and quiet and typically not that busy. The trail is well marked so you won't get lost.
