We recently left 10 federal storage due to the RECENT BREAK IN that occurred on 7/1/24.. 8 units locks were cut and was broken into and stolen from.
We had a business storage. We had a ps5 in there that belonged to our kids. (They were grounded so we put it in there) and it was the only thing taken even though we had thousands of dollars of equipment. I would also like to add that the morning that it happened they wouldn't let detectives in for forensics.
They also don't have camera inside the facility and when you walk through the facility you can actually see into every unit with a tall latter. All someone would have to do is go down the rows and pick what they wanted.
Sadly we didn't think we had to worry about it. But apparently your stuff isn't safe here.
Also we were warned by 2 women who also use 10 federal storage. They told us their lock was changed and all their stuff was gone through but nothing taken.
We should have listened to their warning.
And yes they offer a protection plan but you need all this proof on you owning it and receipts etc. We had the entire ps5 box with receipts to all of our accessories and the ps5 in it because ive always been that organized. I'm still trying to get ahold of my account info to possibly track it myself.
But this is a warning to everyone to stay away from 10 federal.
We believe it was an inside job along with another victim, we don't trust their staff at all. Police report has been filed.
**last month they had a burglary in as well and a battery was stolen off of a travel trailer.*

Not a safe place to store your travel trailer. Better make sure you have it locked up good. My battery was stolen. The next time I went over somebody hit the camper popping a hole through the side. They do not watch their cameras and they were no help to me. And raised my price per month.

I had an issue with the wrong outside door lock on the storage unit but received excellent support from both Regina (customer service agent at Raleigh call center) and Angela (account manager in Raleigh) to get this issue resolved. Angela followed up with a nice call to discuss this and answer questions and offered a credit for the day lost. Thank you both for your outstanding support!

This is a very private, well maintained property with proper surveillance. I recommend this storage facility to any one like me who gets a lot of work done at night! Love the fact that it's 24hr.
