Some decades ago, on a less-than-perfect, hot, sticky, and rainy summer day we managed to formalize our relationship with just a small contingent of witnesses. Ever since, we had wanted to improve on that day. So, we were looking for an ideal setting for our anniversary celebration. As soon as we saw it, we knew The Farm at Green Heron Pond was the ideal location. We enjoyed a warm summer day in the mountains, refreshed by a lovely breeze. There was ample space for our guests to play lawn games, stroll around the pond, have a drink, view a slide show, converse, listen to music and then have dinner at the pavilion. A more idyllic, picturesque location could not be had! Amy and Bob were a delight to work with. They made sure everything was in place and even shuttled some of our guests with limited mobility from the parking area to the pavilion. It is a great location for weddings, parties, family reunions – the possibilities are endless!

The Farm at Green Heron Pond is beautiful, peaceful, and was a dream come true venue for our wedding. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and ideal for getting ready, and the views were perfect for photography. We loved having our reception there!

We had our annual staff party there which includes employees' families. This venue is so beautiful and perfect for any occasion. Set in the mountains, you feel transported far outside of any urban area, yet it is still so close to Asheville! We were able to fish and swim in the lake. The venue hosts are so gracious and easy to work with. I couldn't recommend this place more!

As a local event organizer, I have scoured the area for suitable venues. FGHP offers an unparalleled combination of nestled nooks and expansive fields, privacy and epic views, swimmable pond, flat camping, on-site sleeping accommodations for key staff, water and power, plenty of parking... overall an ideal venue at a reasonable cost. And Bob & Amy are truly a joy to work with. I look forward to my next event at FGHP!

I had the opportunity to visit The Farm at Green Heron Pond today.This venue is absolutely the most stunning venue in WNC. If you are looking for tranquil beauty for your special day, look no further. The Farm at Green Heron Pond boasts acres and acres of natural beauty starting with the oversized picturesque pond, complete with a large dock for a perfect ceremony site. The views of the mountains around you is just absolutely breathtaking. The pavillion provides an excellent space for wedding receptions, or any event you may wish to have. The overall setting truly is indescribable, you just have to see it in person, there are just no words...The owners were so gracious, accomodating, and easy to work with. If you have any kind of special event coming up in the future, do yourself a favor, and schedule a tour!Jacqui Sams
