I have used H&R Block for many years to have my taxes filled out. I'm going to state upfront that my taxes are not a complicated process even though I itemize. Last year I paid $199 to have federal, SC state, and NC state. This year I only had federal and NC state and was charged $370 a 46.2% increase over last year!!!!! Upfront fee reviewed up front is a lie. I wasn't told till after the taxes process was filled out what the fee was!I don't know if this office is franchised owned or corporate own but it is ripping off people. I might also mention that I'm a retired individual.
