Was there as part of a Choir retreat. The staff were very nice, the cabins were clean, and the food was good. During dinner, a few of the chicken tenders were under cooked, but we were given free snacks and drinks at the canteen.

Every visit to Laurel Ridge is a treasured time with God and all of creation. Gemein House is a much-appreciated retreat cabin for church professionals to get away for much-needed (and often overlooked) respite and rest. It is a simple, one-room cabin, simple with all the necessities one could want.
SOME UPKEEP THAT CONTINUES TO BE NEEDED THERE:
--Windows continue to be found unlocked when I arrive. This is worrisome, considering that guests are alone in the woods. Guests and housekeepers, please be sure you've locked windows behind you.
--The fireplace grate on my latest stay was upside-down, a fact I did not notice until twice burning logs rolled out of the fireplace and onto the floor Fortunately, I quickly returned them to the fireplace.

Great place to get away! No TV. Unplug and relax with nature. Go for a walk or just sit and relax.

Laurel Ridge holds a special place in my heart. I went to summer camp here for many years and have also come for retreats. The facilities are top notch. The staff is kind very attentive. The director, Tres, cares deeply for Laurel Ridge and it truly shows. He’s not afraid to step in to help anywhere that is needed, but also does a great job making some thoughtful and tough decisions. I cant’t recommend Laurel Ridge enough, whether you are looking for a camp for your kids or a place for your groups retreat!

I was there for a 5 day quilting retreat. The food was great. They are very accommodating to special diets. We had s'mores at the fireplace one night. We've booked again for the next 5 years.

Laurel Ridge is one of my favorite getaway destinations. The quite and beautiful mountain setting is so peaceful. Even just an overnight stay is enough to relax and refresh you.

This is truly a sacred place to get away with God. I came here on a spiritual retreat by myself. The Gemeinhosue was set up perfectly for a quiet space to reflect and know the creator. I will most certainly be coming back!
