“If I lived much closer, I would absolutely bank here. My daughter and I have had to deal with the estate and finances of a relative that passed away and banked with Fifth Third. Not only is everyone friendly, but Corrie and Michael have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty helping us sort things out. Twice we have had to go in to get their help and twice they SPENT HOURS with us and on the phone helping us go through everything. If they have been this helpful and kind and beyond patient with us who are not customers, I have no doubt that they would go above and beyond to make sure their own customers have a great and personalized banking experience.”

“Seems to be a great bank but I bought a car through the local Hilbish Ford and my truck ended up having a pretty major timing chain cover oil leak. Took it to the dealership if they acted like they were going to fix it but then they told me I bought it as is. This Bank needs to be very weary of giving loans out to Hilbish Ford especially when it comes to used cars. I got jammed on this one and it's probably going to end up costing me well over $1,000 to get it fixed. I can't say with 100% certainty but I believe the vehicle was washed down and the oil leak was washed clean before I bought the vehicle that way I would not see it. Just trying to get my story out there so people know to be very careful about using Hilbish Ford. It would be completely different if they would have just fixed it. All they had to do is pay their own people for the labor and the part itself would have been very minimal. But they chose to screw me over.”

“For two years SECU has helped me with a mess of issues. I travel for work, my IDs are rarely up to date, I often have out of state paper checks and on and on. Every time I have an "issue", the tellers are so nice. They are knowledgeable and know policy so they can help me, or help me help myself.Things were so hectic during covid and getting documents, they always helped. Never made me feel as stupid (as I was) or problematic. I made a mistake using a diff prominent cu for my primary monies. SECU even helped me fix the errors THAT other place caused.Being new to Charlotte, I opened 3 bank accounts. You never know a good bank until you've had quirky situations. I've been able to see firsthand how SECU is superior to the others I'm now closing.I referred nearly all my coworkers. Many got better home and auto rates and even tell me abt benefits I didn't know of. I'd just like to share this is a good place... no glitz and big commercials or "stadiums", but professional, reliable and accurate in accounting... employees are kind. Who gets that anymore?”

“The people at this location are AMAZING! My employer gave us a paper check last minute and I needed so badly to cash my check before they closed at 1pm.. this bank is about 40 mins away from me. I called at 12:28 and Bryce was so calm and assuring. I just knew that Christmas was going to be sucky this year but he let me know they would wait for me to get there and cash my check! Even after I arrived he was still waiting at the door for me to get there and came to make sure I was the person that called! Love this bank! Back when the banks were "Bank of Stanly" in Albemarle,NC. If you've never met the employees that work there, take the time once in a while & skip the drive thru.
