A friend and I attended an acoustic guitar jam there Saturday Dec 9/23 Found the group of about 20 guitarists to be friendly AND talented. Mostly folk and americana. One guy WAS for all intense and purpose Garrison Keilor. He played some delta blues and channeled Neil Young. My friend enjoyed it as much as I did. Cheers

Beautiful museum. Our museum guide was so informative. She shared so much history of the depot, railroad, and town with us. We will definitely be back.

Small town museums can be a lot of fun for good clean family entertainment. Our 15 month old loved going in the restored train caboose and seeing native animals from North Carolina…. Especially the Alligator!!Quiet path in the back of the property had a small trail with books about trains. It was a fun short visit but expect a nice quiet old fashioned museum!

Great place to visit. If your wanting to stretch your legs during a travel I would take the tour and learn things about the area. Very interesting. If you are staying near then take 30 minutes and check this place out.
