We booked here for a mini romantic getaway with just my husband and I! We stayed in room 16 and absolutely adored it and then loved it so much. We stayed an additional night and moved to room 12 which was even more stunning! The bathtubs are to die for! The atmosphere is so cozy and makes you feel at home. It's so peaceful and just stunning place to be! I'm dreaming of our next stay! This will be our romantic getaway spot here forward. Cleanliness 10 out of 5 stars!!

Lovely place for truly relaxing experience. They offer well-appointed, very clean rooms. The bed in our room is very comfortable. The large bathroom has a stand-up shower and a clawfoot tub with a view. The entire lodge is so well maintained, and they have done an excellent job in turning this old historic lodge into a well-oiled newer version of itself without sacrificing its old charm. The views are beautiful of Lake Lure from everywhere. Easy access to town, restaurants, and stores.Staff is very helpful and friendly. This place is just right and a keeper for us.

We had an amazing stay at The Lodge on Lake Lure! The breathtaking views, impeccably clean rooms with super white and fresh-smelling sheets, and an incredibly comfortable bed made our experience memorable. Amanda's warmth and friendliness added a personal touch, and the delicious dinner at the restaurant left us impressed. The entire staff's niceness and friendliness enhanced our stay. We're definitely planning to return!

We stayed for two nights in November to celebrate an anniversary. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. We ate dinner one night in the Appalachia Restaurant on site and the bartender and chef made sure it was a meal to remember! This is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Visited in late August with my wife for our anniversary - in town from Oahu, HI - it was absolutely one of our favorite stays! The rooms were comfortable, the grounds immaculate, and the restaurant was delightful! We kayaked, drank wine, read books - just a wonderful stay, and we will be back when we can!

We absolutely loved staying at the Lodge on Lake Lure. It was the perfect blend of cozy, romantic, and rustic. We enjoyed a lakefront room with a fireplace that was so nice! The bed was very comfortable! The dining room provided a delicious dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy during our visit, so we did not get to go down to the Lake to enjoy that. Oh well, I guess we will have to come back!!!

My wife and I have stayed several times at the affiliated Inn on Amelia Island (Amelia Schoolhouse Inn) and had been anxious to try this place since they opened. We were not disappointed. Walking in, we were warmly welcomed by Stephanie, a familiar and friendly face from the Schoolhouse. She whisked us in and made us feel right at home. The accommodations were spacious, warm and clean. The view was absolutely spectacular from our room, taking in both Lake Lure and the mountains. As we made our way around, we saw another friendly face in Amanda, another Schoolhouse asset Spencer has brought over. We dined both nights at the Inn's restaurant, the Appalachia, and the food, drink and service did not disappoint. It was very high quality and we thought reasonably priced, a great value. The area is so peaceful and beautiful, this is a must try destination. When you go, be sure to take a cruise on the lake and get a real history lesson on the area. If you are looking for peace and quiet and overall relaxing getaway, this is a must visit location. We'll be back.

My wife and I spent one night at the Lodge for a quick anniversary getaway trip! We had a fantastic experience. Our room was very clean, updated and comfortable. We had a great dinner at the Appalachia. The service was great! My wife is pregnant and the waitress made her a delicious mocktail. Amanda was very nice and helpful. She showed us to our room and was available if we had any questions! We would definitely stay here again!

Last month, we traveled with another couple and had the best time! The rooms on the bottom floor looking over the lake had great views. We rode the daily evening boat cruise and had a tons of local information shared that we had never heard before. Most importantly, we ate dinner in the Appalachia Restaurant. Having the best place to eat in Lake Lure steps away from your room was great. We enjoyed the best dishes. The food is phenomenal. I am still thinking about the pork chop with succotash.Food & drinks: The food and drinks at the restaurant inside the Lodge is a must. You have to go all out. You need to get appetizers, entrees, and desert. To top it off, the craft cocktails are delicious too.

Can't say enough good things about this Lodge, from its history to its new beginning absolutely the best place on the lake. AND if that wasn't enough, the inn keeper Stephanie is outstanding. Rooms, atmosphere, location...top notch. We have now visited both locations for this hotel, the school house in Florida and here in NC, I'd have no hesitation staying at either for a short stay or an extended getaway.

What a great anniversary . Stephanie took great care of us with the perfect room , and dinner was great . We both had the pasta , my wife had a salad and loved it , I really liked the bread as well . We stopped by the boathouse bar and had a beer with Logan , talk about a cool place , it doesn't get any better . This will be a special occasion kind of place , but also a regular stop as well , thank goodness it's a short drive for us , we'll definitely be back soon .

Stayed here on our 10th wedding anniversary. Started off by being greeted by the neighborhood Black Bear Oscar in the parking lot. The lodge is beautiful and we found it romantic, relaxing and fun. Excellent food in the restaurant and a cozy bar.
