I went from cruise control at 70 mph to limp-home mode on my way to Morehead City two weeks ago in my Tahoe and really appreciated the universe dropping me literally at Deacon Jones Chevrolet's front door at the next exit. My dog and I were welcomed into the service center right away on a Friday morning for diagnosis and our luck continued with the part available locally. We hopped on the WiFi and got some work done while the service team took care to get me back on the road within a few hours. I could not be more grateful to be put in the right place at the right time with capable help to get me safely on my way. Thanks, Deacon Jones Team!

These guys were great to work with. Jason, Billy and Robert put together a trade so I could upgrade my 2017 Silverado LTZ to a new diesel LTZ. Super easy and efficient and definitely worth the drive from Hampstead to LaGrange. Thanks for making it easy and efficient!

It doesn't matter which Deacon Jones dealership you walk into, they all feel like home and they make you feel like family. That level of comfort and trust can't be bought and is key to any successful business. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

I would recommend going to a different dealership, I co-signed for my active duty military son who is only 19 with very little credit history, he's located at A local USAF base nearby, he just got stationed there a week ago, I co-signed with a well over 800 credit score and still got charged 4.99 percent for financing, typically I would never have done this, but when my son is telling the base cafeteria is under construction and he doesn't have a vehicle to get to a grocery store all the while during this virus and every Auto dealer has zero percent on pretty much every make and model.. I spoke to 5-6 different people on the customer service end it was very confusing

As much as I don't think my review will affect your decision of doing business with Deacon Jones Chevrolet, I'll do my civic duty and tell you about my experience purchasing a used truck. My first visit was to look at 3 used trucks. The one I liked was outside my budget so I continued looking elsewhere. After 3 weeks of not finding that "right" truck, I returned here to find the same truck still on the lot with a $1000 less price tag. I test drove it and besides the tire vibration, it was great. After negotiating a drive out price, we shook hands. I was to pick it up the next day as it needed detailing and the tires balanced. The actual sales experience was the typical drawn out affair taking longer than it should and spending too much time in the F&I office. The salesman told me the tire pressures were adjusted which took care of the vibration and the shop was too busy to get the truck in. OK. I was finally handed a single key with the agreement that I stop at another manufacture's dealer to have them make me a spare key, at Deacon's expense. On my drive home I discovered the tires still were causing a vibration. I called the salesman who repeated his tire pressure fixed it statement. I stopped at the other manufacturer's dealer, had them make me a spare key and had them balance the tires at my expense. Fixed. An hour later my new to me truck was sitting in my driveway. The next morning, it wouldn't crank. After being on the battery charger for 6 hours, it was good for one crank. Down to Pep Boys to get a battery, at my expense. A call to Deacon's got me a "sorry to hear that" response. OK, they're a car dealer. Finally, I went to change the oil & filter a month later. I know Deacon changed it, but I prefer Amsoil synthetic and who knows what they used. The oil filter had been installed so tight that I needed a chain wrench to get it off. Such it goes for their factory trained mechanic who missed that day of school when they were teaching "how to properly replace an oil filter". Prior to purchasing the truck I did have it inspected at another dealer in Kinston, but I should have had them test the battery. AND I should have driven the truck prior to writing the check. So my advice to you, which I failed to heed, thoroughly check out the vehicle before the deal. And this final question for you, how do you tell if a car salesman is lying? Their lips are moving. Like I said, my review isn't going to change your mind about going to Deacon Jones Chevrolet, but I do feel a bit better sharing my experience. Enjoy your new vehicle.
