“I have been with Arise for a few weeks; it's something my wife and I are doing together. However, I ended up starting before her, taking evening classes here, and I look forward to her joining me. I am someone who needs a class. Going into a gym and doing a circuit bores me, and I don't have the knowledge to create safe, smart, and helpful programs for myself. I have not gone to a gym for longer than I care to admit. The classes are small, so there is personal attention, and you get feedback on things like your form. G, the owner, is very aware of her group and takes input, adjusting the classes based on what the group needs most. There's a great sense of camaraderie in the lessons I have attended, more than in any other class I have taken. If you are looking for a place to take classes that are adjustable to what your body can do and want not to feel judged, try this place. It's a positive place to do something good for yourself.”

“I joined this gym a little under three months ago, completely out of shape, hadn't worked out in over two years, and was the heaviest I had ever been in my entire life. I was sick and tired of the reflection looking back at me in the mirror and I knew some changes had to be made.

Being a part of the recovery community has taught me the importance and the power of surrounding yourself with like minded people who are working to achieve a common goal. From my very first workout the Knightdale CrossFit community has been uplifting and encouraging as I SLOWLY start to make my way into some semblance of getting physically fit. The coaches have been diligent in aiding me in improving my form, holding me back from doing too much too soon to prevent injury, and are always highly encouraging to help me get better with every session. And in these ten weeks I'm starting to see improvement with my cardio, core strength, raw strength, and starting to get the correct movements in order. On top of that it is a great place to meet and connect with people in the community, to hopefully foster relationships that go beyond just working out and seeing each other at the gym.

If you have a desire to improve your fitness CrossFit Knightdale is the place to be. It's a full body workout, the community is very welcoming and every workout can be tailored to match your current fitness level. I've made up my mind that I am going to keep coming back regardless of how tired and sore my body feels, regardless of how many burpees (ugh!!!!) and 400m runs are on the workout of the day, and regardless of my other life obligations. It's been paying dividends so far. Can't wait to see where the journey takes me six months, one year, five years from now, etc. Don't struggle on your fitness journey by yourself. Come join some awesome people and some awesome coaches to help motivate and be mentored. LFG!!”
