“This theater is very small, offering an intimate experience. The lobby is inviting with a bar that offers drinks (alcoholic and not), and a few snacks( candy and popcorn). There was a guitar -singer playing, and a couple of tables and armchairs, all in all, very very nice! The play, Barbeque, was very good and the actors and actresses excellent. My husband and I were happy we gave it a try, and now we are looking forward to seeing more plays there.”

“I was speechless as I was able to walk through and pick out furniture for every room of my new place for my whole family! I couldn't believe it! Especially when you have had your fair share of challenges in life and it gives you hope in the world that there was a place like this even existed! Thank you green chair again a few years later. I'll never forget what you all did for me and the family. When we needed it the most. I pray for everyone that helps this place. I look forward to making a purchase when it's open to the public. :)”

“Each time I have shopped at this location, I've been pleasantly surprised by the fantastic treasures found! It is my favorite Habitat ReStore location in the Triangle because my favorite thrift store items are typically vintage items & antique items, & based on my recent shopping experiences, this specific Habitat for Humanity location has more vintage & antique items donated to it, in comparison to the other Habitat ReStores I have visited in the triad. ♡ Additionally, the staff & volunteers are friendly and helpful; they ask if you need assistance or just say hello as they pass you by which I appreciate!”

“I’ve been going here for years. The staff has always been nice to me. As for prices…if you begrudge a non profit for making money to carry out a mission of housing and helping people who need it then just be quiet and move on. You’re probably the same people who’ll pay $12 for a bid wiser at a concert and not mind. And umm hello inflation…anyone heard of that? Lol I built an entire retail store with items purchased from Restore. And it’s gorgeous!!! I repurposed items that otherwise would have hit the land fill AND helped a great charity. Win win. Keep up the good work team Restore!”

“The staff are great with the young men that attend; instilling lifelong morals and manners that will be showcased throughout their lives. As a single mother to a son, it's a blessing to have the tough love given from the [male] staff; that big brother/fatherly love. Thankful to have found this community as new residents to NC.”

“This is a great place to have team building events and be part of a good cause. Staff makes it really easy to setup for them to go to your location or you go to their warehouse. They do have miniums and can go over all of that with you. I've had birthday parties for my kids there and work events both at the warehouse and our workplace. We even had a meal build evet there since covid and they take a lot of safety precautions.”

“Pizazz has been a favorite for years! Their clothes are FAR nicer than many other places and the prices are incredibly low. Where the money goes though is the most important and very best part ... by shopping for women's clothing and accessories there, we are supporting Harbor Inc, a shelter for women and children who are escaping domestic violence. It's SO important to put our money where our hearts are! ?”

“I love this thrift store! I recently discovered it and I have only been a couple of times now but every time I go the energy there is so positive and fun that it is contagious. The staff can be overheard singing to the fun music and laughing with each other. They have great prices and a great selection. If you follow them on social media they post all their sales for the week on Sunday or Monday.”

“The level of care and concern for the children at this location is fantastic. This team ensures that the patients are receiving the best care possible. They don’t focus on job descriptions so much as they focus on the needs of the patient. This was our first visit to the facilities in three years and it still looks to be in wonderful condition, very well maintained. To Sam, Jenetta, Melody and the rest of the team, we want to say thank you, we left knowing our grandson was in excellent hands. They truly demonstrate the phase, “A labor of Love”.”

“NEWS FLASH!!! – Homelessness and food insecurity are MESSY, and often times, so are the caring people who try to alleviate it. Why? Because there’s no money, no glory, and no accolades for helping the neediest people. The people who take care of the neediest are not “professionals” with MBAs and law degrees. They aren’t lobbyists, politicians, PR professionals, event organizers, or polished speakers. They the salt of the Earth. Yes, Helping Hand Mission IS dirty, disorganized, jumbled, and frustrating. I’ve been volunteering there on and off for 15+ years, and I am well aware of their shortcomings. BUT, their hearts are in the right place. Sylvia Wiggins, the founder, isn’t lining her pockets with gold, as one person cruelly suggested. They charge for items because they have pay rent, salaries, utilities, insurance, phone bill, and much more. They can’t help people if they get shut down. Yes, they can be rude – especially to people sent there to do mandatory community service. It’s not nice. BUT, they are still helping people, feeding people every day at New Bern House, providing shelter for women and children, and collecting donations for people in need. It’s very easy to be critical of someone who didn’t show up at your door on time, or refused to take certain items – what an inconvenience for you and your busy day!! Sorry to burst your first-world bubble, but they don’t operate for your convenience. Their employees are underpaid, overworked, and under trained. They do the best they can. If you want to effect change, go volunteer to clean up their roach infested place, to organize the jumble of goods in their facility, to answer phones professionally, or to drive around and pick up furniture. Instead of trashing the people who are trying to do good, help them do better. ‘Nuff said.”

“My kids and I love to pop in occasionally to see what kind of "treasure" we can find. Staff, in general, are not the most outgoing, but have been friendly when we make a point to be friendly to them. The store is as organized as you can expect a Goodwill to be and a lot of the fun is in the search.”
