The front staff is always very welcoming and flexible when I need to change things up with an appointment, etc. They always remember my pet's names, even when its been a while since we visited the hospital. They make you feel like you are part of their family. And not to forget about the doc and techs... they are always so nice, super knowledgeable and take the time to answer questions and don't rush through the appointment! I love this place and highly recommend them!!

Outer Banks Veterinary Hospital
3723 N Croatan Hwy Unit 9, Kitty HawkIn one word: superb!We're not from the area and were about to fly to Europe with our dog, for which we needed vet certificates. Dr. Jay and his staff were super helpful and went well beyond the call of duty to help us, liaising with our "regular" vet, double checking with the agencies that the approvals had been issued and sent to the correct address, and keeping us informed at all stages of the process. We also got some excellent travel tips on top, all of which contributed to a smooth journey, despite the logistical complications / not flying from our home town.Thank you and we hope to be back when in OBX next time!

Donuts are made to order and warm and we don't have that from where we're from so it was a really cool experience! Best bavarian donut I've ever had! Wish we had your store in our state! Thank you!

3730 N Croatan Hwy, Kitty HawkI’ve been visiting the OBX all week for a quick getaway at our beach house and have had the chance to explore several restaurants for lunch and dinner daily. Barefoot Bernie’s stood out as the best by far. From the service to the food, everything was top-notch. The bartender, Tristan, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt welcome even though I arrived just 30 minutes before closing. I tried the Mongolian Steak special that Tristan recommended, and it might have been the best steak I've had in the Outer Banks. The sauce that accompanied it was a perfect match. The manager, Sarah, was also warm and attentive. After a week of dining out, I’m glad I ended it here. Highly recommended—you won’t be disappointed!

Whether you’re sitting at the bar, outside or one of the indoor tables, the staff is friendly and attentive, always making sure you’re well taken care of.
When it comes to the food, Art’s Place doesn’t disappoint. The menu features a range of options, from the best hearty burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and fried baskets to the Friday Prime Rib specials.
These are without a doubt the best burgers they are juicy and flavorful, with a variety of toppings to choose from and they always have a weekly special to keep it fresh.
This place is my first and last stop for breakfast and burgers every year I come down on vacation.
Kid-friendliness: Art’s is a kid friendly place and has always been very welcoming to our son when we come as a family.

Coastal Cravings
1209 Duck Rd, DuckThis restaurant is a staple on our yearly vacations. We are not a big seafood family, and Coastal Cravings is one of very few places that even offers a variety of options for us. The steaks are amazing! Seafood for thise that got it was outstanding! Drinks are great! We showed up 21 people deep just after they opened and were seated in minutes. The service is awesome, not a disappointed person in our party. 10 out of 10...highly recommend!
Kid-friendliness: With a 21 person party, 6 of which were between 6 and 14, they handled those kids with grace! They gave them their own table, communicated with them directly (clearing everything they ordered with the adults afterwards), even took the littles inside to pick their own cookies. Couldn't have asked for a better wait staff.

4020 N Croatan Hwy, Kitty HawkWhat an amazing experience! I walked in wearing a scooby doo sweatshirt and immediately one of the kitchen staff had someone bring me a scooby doo sticker. We felt like family and it was our first visit. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was amazing! Music wasn’t too loud, the games were on and everyone was in great spirits. Food and drink selection is pretty good. Definitely recommend stopping in if you get a chance.
