If I could give it a negative star I would. DO NOT bring your pets here for care, especially any surgical care. We took our perfectly healthy cat in for surgery only to get a nonchalant call a few hours later saying that our cat "just quit breathing" during surgery and there was nothing they could do. This is extremely rare occurring only in less than .8% of anesthesia related cases. While informing me of our cats death the doctor made sure to ask what we wanted to do with the body and threw in a quick sales pitch for their cremation services. My wife also wanted to talk to the doctor about what happened but was told that "he will probably call tomorrow, he's been in surgery all day". You would think he would make time for this. The office still wanted to charge us for killing our cat during surgery and it wasn't until the "district manager" was contacted that they had a change of heart and didn't want to charge us. To top it all off, when I arrived to pick up our cats dead body I was told to pull around back to get it. I did and noticed something was missing. The carrying case used to transport the cat was not given to me. It wasn't until I asked for it that it was brought out! At least have the decency to have everything ready when I arrive.....All in all, horrendous experience and apparently we are not the only ones. Since this happened, I have heard of two more first hand accounts of similar occurrences with this office. Stay away!

All staff were absolutely amazing with my very nervous cat throughout her appointment, checking in was quick and hassle free, vets and techs were clear and educational when it came to my pet’s health, and it was relatively inexpensive!

We have been going to them for years. They have the most caring staff. Dr. Rouse is kind, compassionate, and is simply the best. We love him so good! The best staff ever. To name a few Shannon, Rebecca, and savanna have went above and beyond for us. We couldn’t have picked better practice for our sweet willow than five oaks.

My appointment was for 10:50 I went into the room at 11:00. A nurse put a q tip in my dogs ears and said she would be back . I sat with my dog who is blind for half an hour . Then a person stuck their head in the door and said the doctor was doing diagnostics and would be in after that . I sat for another half hour. At 12:00 the doctor came in with no apology at all. He looked into my dogs ears and said they were ok . I said so all he needs is his rabies shot. So we got that and I got charged 65.00 for an annual wellness exam . All he did was look into his ears . The total was 111.50 ….. I really feel like I was ignored and taken.

I'm a New first time Cat? owner. I called Five Oaks Animal Hospital and the Representative that answered the phone was Very Rude. I asked how much it would Cost to Neuter my 3 month old kitten, She explained the Technical parts & the charge, but kept Repeating parts Confusing me. I Thanked her & tried to explain to her (how my mind Processes) what I needed to know & understand what she meant so I wouldn't be confused, but she wouldn't Listen & try to understand Everybody doesn't Think&Understand the same. Ultimately I just needed (& was trying to get her to just tell me) the Full Cost expected from me so I would be sure to have the Amount in my Account (No pop up Bills that I didn't account for). Instead of Hearing me out (like I did her) she Hung up the phone. To ask for Total amounts (Deposits, Costs, unexpected Surgery, Etc), & explaining Why you need something. A Customer should be heard & helped.

We recently started taking our cat here for her yearly checkups and shots. We have only been a couple of times but on each occasion the staff have been friendly and caring and you can tell that they enjoy their work and care for their animal patients.
Setting up appointments is simple and can be easily requested online or by phone. A text service is used to confirm appointments as well as give additional information about appointments requested online.
This particular vet also partners with the PetPage app so you can keep up with visits prescriptions emergency numbers and more right from your phone.
I would definitely recommend Five Oaks to anyone looking for a veterinary service or that was thinking about changing their current service.
