I wish I could give this practice zero stars. I had an appointment to establish care and fill meds. I should’ve known when my appointment was cancelled. No one called to let me know. They were able to reschedule me for later in the day. We arrived and were finally acknowledged after about five minutes. The overall wait to be called back wasn’t bad.Dr. Antes comes in and we discuss my baby. For background, I’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to diagnose and minimize her allergies. She’s allergic to almost everything in her environment. I had an expensive allergy test done, cytopoint, apoquel, heska injections, she had a tracheal wash, etc. Not to mention ear infections! After trial and error with my girl, my previous vet and I landed on maintenance medications to control her anxiety and allergies. One of which is a controlled prescription. Dr. Antes looked me dead in the face and lied, stating NC laws prohibit dispensing or scripting out controlled meds. Said her hands were tied due to the DEA. I asked her if it was a NC law or if she wasn’t comfortable writing the prescription; she said it was a NC law. I asked to consult with another doctor. She said his stance was the same, but you just said it was NC law. Which is it? She doubled down and said about a year ago, the DEA changed the schedule of this specific drug, making it harder for doctors to prescribe. My girl has been on this medication combo for over a year, and I’ve never heard such nonsense. In fact, I was able to find another vet who DID in fact, prescribe the meds. Honesty and integrity go a long way.Lastly, she said she would consult with the other doctor and call me back. I'm still waiting for that phone call.

Not happy. Paid a large sum to have my Doberman treated for worms, and he's been sick for days. Now he won't get up and go to the bathroom. Going to have to take him to an emergency vet to get him moving again. Don't worry it's just money.

Our senior dog, Zoe, had gotten to the point we knew it was time for her to go to her final sleep. Dr. Palmer was fantastic and so was his staff. I sobbed so loud I’m sure the whole office heard me but they allowed me time to grieve.

This is the best vet office I’ve ever been to. I drive almost an hour to get here because that’s how much I like it. They are so patient with my anxious dog, which I have never experienced at any other office. Also, Dr. Palmer has been the only vet to figure out what was wrong with my cat (after going to a handful of vets beforehand). I can’t recommend this vet office enough.

We love Countryview Animal Hospital. Our boy beagle ‘Prince’ loves going there. The nurses are nice and friendly. Prince is our second beagle that has been under their care. Office is always clean too. Thank you Countryview Animal Hospital.

Our cat, Rebel, went missing for two days. Prior to his leaving, we had noticed he had stopped eating. We weren’t sure what was the problem but we were aware of local dogs penning him up and scaring him terribly during that time. When Rebel finally came home, we called Dr. Palmer’s office even before it opened and left an urgent message, hoping to be seen. We received a call back almost immediately that an 11 a.m. appointment was available. Since we had already left home with Rebel, they graciously told us to come on and wait to be worked into the schedule.Everyone was fabulous!! Rebel was seen by the technican for a quick overview. Bloodwork was done in preparation for the vet’s determination of his issues. Dr. Palmer was so professional, kind, and knowledgeable about cats. It was determined Rebel was dehydrated, had diarrhea, and probably traumatized by the incident. What great news!!Luckily, Rebel was in otherwise good health. Countryview Animal Hospital staff showed two old “crazy about our cat” people why certain individuals are in the animal healing business. I hope everyone has a vet and staff like ours!! Thank you for seeing our distress concerning our pet and helping Rebel!!

Countryview is absolutely amazing. Good, fair prices- Dr. Antes and the staff truly care about their patients and their patient's parents. I truly appreciate the patience and kindness they showed my husband and I when we had to put our cat down a few weeks ago.

My baby unfortunately passed away while here. However, Dr. Palmer did more than enough. He is a great vet and made sure my little guy was in good hands. He called me everyday that my dog was there to give me updates. When he called to tell me he passed away he was extremely considerate. When I went in the see him and also to get his ashes the staff was extremely welcoming and made me feel better about the whole situation. This place is like family. In addition they see my other dog and Dr. Antes is amazing and does a great job. In the past we had another vet tell us nothing was wrong with our dog and I went to Antes to get a second opinion. They found the issue and helped our baby.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Palmer is truly a dog whisperer, my dogs love him. When we lost our 14 heart old dog, Bert was carrying and genuinely compassionate.
