This place is a disaster. Avoid at all costs. First major issue, there is no office. Upon arrival all you'll find is a block of rooms with keypad doors (tiny parking lot as well). Check-in starts at 4pm, and they stop answering the phone at 5pm. I booked a couple months in advance through Expedia. When I couldn't locate an office or any staff for check-in, I contacted Expedia (after leaving a couple voicemails on the See Sea phone number). Expedia said an email should have been sent by the motel with check-in info which was not the case. They were also unable to reach anyone at See Sea, so I was unable to check-in for my vacation and had to find other accommodations last minute. See Sea never returned my messages the next day, so I reached out to Expedia again to ensure I received a refund. That's when See Sea called to say they never even received a reservation from Expedia. Both are to blame but running a hotel/motel with zero office or staff and no methods of contact is absurd. Within a very short distance is a Comfort Inn, a Ramada, a Quality Inn and a couple other national hotel brands. Start there before giving this place any of your time or money.

Our room was super cute! The motel is really close to beach access as well as a bunch of restaurants/bars. We were provided with a code before check-in so we could go right to our room. We were provided with clean towels a couple of times and they emptied the trash. The only negative I can think of is the parking- very tight space, but not a deal breaker. Would stay here again!

GET THE TRAVEL INSURANCE, A HURRICANE DOES NOT WARRANT A REFUND. In our situation, Hurricane Debbie was in the area and I wanted to cancel but could not. Luckily it JUST passed by the time we got there and it was sunny. This is a small motel and I'm assuming they cannot afford too many cancelations. The office staff was SUPER nice and the motel was so clean, looks like it was recently renovated, very cute place. Parking is SO tight, but my car was parked so close to my room, which was convenient. The shower was dirty and they didn't bring towels after we requested. About a block walk to the beach. They have 3 grills in the back and picnic tables, excellent for a family get together. Check in is done by entering a code (which is provided via email) on your room door and it automatically unlocks. You will use this code to unlock every time, no key cards are given. The place feels very safe. The pool was very clean, I recently stayed somewhere else and the pool water was cloudy, yuck. I loved the coastal decor/theme. Price point was fair. I definitely will stay here the next time we're in town for sure!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we like to use our vacation time outside of the room as much as possible so we don’t mind small rooms which is what we had with the King room so if you need space…eh. The cleaning service did a good job and we saw no problems there except for hair on the shower towels which we didn’t care about since we always bring our own. We also were left with the previous peoples’ half roll of toilet paper and 1 extra. There was a storm this week so the parking lot was flooded on top of being very tight making it really hard to drive our SUV in and out of the lot. The indoor chairs are incredibly old and rusty which rubbed off on our clothes and towels. The door seal isn’t even a thing anymore so ants kept coming into the room no matter how clean we kept it. The biggest problems were the shower curtain being insanely moldy and the wifi is just not even an option. But…I will say for the price this place really isn’t bad and we still had a great time, just a couple improvements needed.

I gave it 5 stars because we had a very nice 2-room unit, that had 2 double beds in a separate room. Everything was clean, spacious, and fresh. BUT I do have a couple negatives and suggestions for the owners. Parking was terrible. I worried my car would get hit or sideswiped. Trucks and large SUV’s should not be allowed to park in front of the units. (Good luck if you get to park in front of your unit) They should be made to park in the parking area or in front of the motel, along Beach Rd. I saw someone sideswiped the post the one night because of a big truck parked at that corner.. I’m sure that damaged their vehicle badly. Nor should a unit with 2 vehicles be allowed to park in front of units. Ok…for the inside. Our room was great but the floor was filthy. I dropped an ice cube and it had melted. I realized that and went to sip it up with a paper towel and the towel was black. That explained our black foot prints in the shower. We wore sandals indoors, after that. The units should have a broom w/dust pan for sand, a dish towel for drying dishes (no place to set just washed dishes), hooks to hang rain jackets, hats, umbrellas and towels. Cleaning service was wonderful! Gave us fresh towels a couple times during our 5-night stay and emptied our trash cans. Both unexpected. We had a full size fridge, an oven, Keurig, toaster oven and microwave. The guy I worked with over the phone was lovely and helpful. Only reason I wouldn’t go back is because of parking. Oh and we had 1 of the only 2 rooms with no porch to sit on. That was a bummer.

Room was cute as a button and exactly as described, literally a 2-minute walk from the beach. We had an amazing stay.

Good: location. You can walk to a bunch of stuff. Brewery swellsa is delicious. Beach access is across the st. Pool is clean.
Bad: no ice machine. room is WAY smaller than anything I would have imagined. You get a bed, 6 ft of counter space, and a mini fridge. Room is too small to fit an extra chair. There is no where to put your suit case/beach chairs/cooler /beach umbrella. I stayed here July 4 weekend. I recognize that's the prime time and places increase rates due to demand, but this is absolutely not worth $200/night. I'd suggest staying somewhere else for what you get here with the price. Be aware: there is no front desk, which means no staff on site. I didn't have any problems, so this wasn't an issue for me.

The beach is a 2 minute walk. It rained pretty bad the night we arrived and was too cold to get in the ocean the next day. The pool is very refreshing though. Only complaint about the pool is there’s no shade a couple umbrellas over the tables would have been nice. Really liked the room. We were in room 18. If you have a truck park next to the road near the stairs to get to 18. The parking lot is very tight otherwise
Walkability: Hibachi and Millers restaurants are within walking distance.

I am a disabled senior lady I wasn't aware the hotel was multiple stories. I booked way in advance and they put me on top floor. I only found out at last minute. As soon as I found out I asked for a handicap accessible room. It was a no refund policy so they pute into a apartment which I never asked for and lied to me about extra fees. The employee apparently lied to owner and they are taking her side when my son was in the car when the whole conversation happened and said it was a $15-$20 upcharge and that is only what i agreed to. They charge Me $60 plus what she stated over the phone. This was a very bad experience for me and I will never come back to this inn this town and this area of North Carolina again...
I never agreed to paying $61 difference the employee who called me back is a liar. I would have cancelled all together before I paid another $61 on top of the $140 I already paid for this trashy dump.... I would have first stayed in a four star hotel...

Cute motel. Clean and attractive! We were provided with a combination to get into our room. Good location. Close to the beach. My only complaint is… there were no hangers to hang up clothes!

This place is a nice little spot that is extremely cheap compared to some of the others in the area. The carpets were a bit stained, there were quite a few drain flies that we had to get rid of and there were only two body towels, no hand or face towels. The parking situation is also a bit of a mess. With that being said, the stay was still really enjoyable. Nice TV, solid sized fridge, microwave and toaster oven and the bathroom was nice as well. Public beach access right across the street and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

If moldy shower curtains, damp musty smells & a tiny room with nowhere to hang any clothes are your thing then this is the place for you. We had high hopes for this retro, refurbished motel but they just didn’t pan out.

The room vas very neat and clean except for the carpet. Also pretty… and a nice pool.
However, the carpet in our room was so dirty your bare feet literally stuck to the carpet lots of stains as well. This was 4 days prior to memorial weekend. Tourist season had not even started. This was very unsatisfactory other wise would give an overall 5.0... 2.0 on this visit. ?

Great little motel with adorable rooms/kitchens. So close to the beach, and the pool was a perfect addition to our stay!
Rooms: So nice to have an ac unit in each room along with a comfy bed and a tv!
