The owners/ house managers were not nice at all. Honestly they were very rude. The house smelled HEAVILY of mildew. The shower was still dirty from a previous guest there was still a bar of soap and a dirty towel in the shower. The location is nice but for the price it’s not worth it imo
*edit. We paid for the room! When I called the owner to simply ask them to explain what happened with the rooms bc my “baby girlfriends” weren’t explaining it to me. The owner was SO rude and wouldn’t explain anything (even though I was trying to pay for the separate room myself) To accuse us of theft is WILD. We paid for 2 rooms AND the upgrade fee. And let’s not forget the bathroom that wasn’t cleaned. DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!

Went there last Spring Break (I forgot to write a review about this place). The entire place smelled like mildew and the bad thing is that I have asthma. It also looked like this place was once flooded. The bedroom was actually a pretty good size overlooking the beach/the pool with a really big balcony. That was the positive of this place for me, however it smelled really bad too. The breakfast was mediocre (kids' breakfast) and we never saw the owners. We noticed a couple one time, but we are not sure if it was them or not. We did meet some really nice people who were also staying there, but we were commenting on how weird we didn't see anyone for breakfast. We are used to seeing the owners and preparing real breakfast for us, but this is not the place. We don't mind, however the type of breakfast they left for us was cheap and not healthy. The location was good and we like the fact we had a parking spot. However, we will not go back to this place as it needs a major cleanup, renovation, and repairs.

We stayed in the Sea Level Suite and even the name is deceiving. The "suite" consisted of a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and a bathroom. The refrigerator was positioned in a way that you had to turn sideways to get to the bathroom, the bathroom was extremely small and you had to hurdle the toilet to get into the shower stall(if you weigh more than 100 pounds you won't fit), the bed needed a new matress(everything kinda funneled to the middle), the walls were beat up and dirty, and the window unit air conditioners appeared to have black mold in them(if not, then they were in need of a serious cleaning). I would not suggest this place to anyone. The only positive was the location.

We travel somewhat often and this was our worst experience ever. The day we arrived was hot and humid. There was no air-conditioning in the room or screens in the windows. Thankfully there was a fan. What we assume was a couple in another room was fighting and slamming doors all night, like from 9pm to after 3am. After 3am we heard glass smashing, we hoped at that point something would have been done but it continued. The room or check in sheet had no phone number call to report. Will not stay here again.Room was cute, location was good. House seemed very welcoming, just fell short.Nope we definitely stayed here on 4/29. Since you don't know what is going on here you can ask your cleaning lady and her daughter as they were cleaning up the glass at 8am.

A DEEP clean is way overdue! We stayed one night after spending the day in Ocracoke - we checked in late in the night and Mike was kind enough to extend our checkout time to 11 a.m. However, we did not use the extra time given since we couldn’t leave there quick enough. It was obvious the minute we entered our room (Deck Side Room) the cleaning was an best minimal. From carpet stains; bugs; mold in the bathroom; molded and dusty vents it instantly made us feel grungy! The room temperature was obnoxiously hot (even on a November night); and the wobbly and filthy ceiling fan barely did a thing. My girlfriend cleaned out dead bugs from the tub and to her surprise brown water came out of the faucet (after running for awhile it was clear water).Breakfast was set for a 6-year old chid - pop tarts, instant oatmeal & grits, 4 powdered doughnuts and single-serve cereal boxes. We used the Keurig to make our own coffee and discovered how gross and unkept the kitchen was. The powdered creamer was a solid brick with dead bugs in it; and the sugar was hard as a rock with rust on the lid!We did not expect to have to go to an amazing breakfast at WaveRider after spending over $200 at this “Bed & Breakfast”We do NOT recommend staying here unless you don’t mind uncleanlinesses and just need a bed for the night. The only perk to this location is its proximity to beach.

Flies flies flies. More than 50 flies were welcomed us. There was a flapper placed on the wall, so the host knows there were too many flies. We killed 50-60 flies in the room and approximately 30 flies in the bathroom. The next day, there were almost same number of flies again. We had closed all the windows. Guessing Flies are hatched somewhere in the bathroom. Carpet was dirt so that I need to wear mask during the stay. It was terrible experience. I never stay there and never recommend.

A warm friendly atmosphere with beautiful decor and nice kitchen. Across from the beach and nice pool and front porches. Plenty of privacy and love being able to clean and polish this gem of a place. I highly recommend this inn to anyone who likes a home feel.

We had a great stay at this B&B! We stayed in the Deckside Room and would say the pictures on their website are representative of the place. Mike, the owner, lives on the third floor. We crossed paths briefly a few times. He is friendly and very relaxed. We brought our dog and appreciated how dog friendly it is here! The breakfast provided is simple but very convenient and appreciated! It was also amazing to have a happy hour provided with wine, string cheese and crackers. The location was great too with beach access very close and walkable! They had plenty of towels if we had to change ours or use more. The wifi was good indoors. The pool is very clean and the right size for a few people to stand in (don't expect to be doing laps or anything). Even though the weather wasn't always great, overall we had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it to others! We definitely look forward to coming back in the future! Thanks mike!

I asked for fish and pesto sandwich, it was so delicious but it came with just one piece of fish so I was satisfied but not full after I ate the sandwich with the fries.
