Title: Absolutely Terrible Experience with Liberty Garden Products
I recently purchased a garden hose reel from Liberty Garden Products through Amazon, expecting a new and functional item. What I received was a garden hose reel without the four tires it was supposed to come with.
When I called Liberty Garden’s customer service, they assured me that they would send the missing tires. Thirteen days passed with no sign of the tires. I called them again, only to be told that they were unsure about the condition in which Amazon had sent the product and insinuated that Amazon might have sent me used goods.
I bought a NEW Liberty Garden hose reel from Amazon, as clearly stated on my receipt. This company's customer service is atrocious, and their handling of my issue has been abysmal. I strongly advise against doing business with Liberty Garden Products.

I have two of their Liberty 712 hose reels. It is an outstanding product, and the only hose reel I have tried that has lasted this long (7 years and going strong). They both work just as well as when I bought them. However, I accidentally broke a component on one reel. I called to see if they offered that replacement part. Megan (apologies if I have an incorrect spelling) who answered the phone was VERY knowledgeable about their products. She was also very courteous. We talked through the options for repairs, and she knew the details of product design and assembly. It was a breath of fresh air to have a company rep answer the phone with that level of knowledge. She saved me grief and money. When one reel sprung a leak, I was able to buy an inexpensive O-ring and snap-ring replacement package. I love that this product is assembled in a way that I can maintain it when needed - that seems rare these days. Thanks!

The product (Model 870 4 wheel Hose Cart) is of exceptionally poor quality. Casting so weak that home water pressure blows a 1/8” hole in tee joint. Customer Service not helpful and is rude and disrespectful. I expected more from this company and I am profoundly disappointed.

Poor quality products cheaply made in China that is sent to Liberty Garden who then without inspection places the product in an additional box and is shipped to the customer. There is no quality control just an american company peddling cheaply made Chinese products. I bought 3 hose reels thinking I bought the best when they arrived one reel was defective and beyond repair I reached out to the company for assistance was transferred to the director of sales. I communicated by email the company would not call me I kept getting excuses on how to fix it not understanding the problem in the first place the last email asking for assistance was told just return it to where you bought it. This is sad a company that dont support its own products. Like I said I bought 3 and all of them are going back. Caution when doing business with this company.

I bought 3 Liberty hose reels for my home one was defective and could not be repaired. I contacted the business requesting assistance the person answering redirected me to the director of sales Megan. We communicated by email. I left a detailed descripton of the problem and photos only to be given excuses on how to fix it without understanding the issue in the first place. In the last communication she told me to just take it back to where you bought it. This is said an American Company not standing behind there product. These items were made in China shipped to the U.S. placed in an additionl box and shipped out to the customer there was no quality control involved at all, no company ownership. Like I said I bought 3 hose reels after speaking with Megan all three are going to be returned. I refuse to business with company’s that don’t support there products and offer realistic expectations.

Agree with reviews below about product quality and the worst customer service. Girl was schooled in her handling of complaint of broken part which tells me they experience this all the time and do not care at all about the purchasers of their product. Stay away if you want a quality product and customer service if needed. This was my second liberty product (yes, shame on me) and it rusted and split apart also. Bought this at Menards, for $120, and it did not last a year. They should check out their suppliers a bit better.

One year of use, company doesn’t stand behind their products. Corrosion so severe it ruined a new 100 foot hose. Don’t waste you money. Piece of trash, throw away product, useless warranty. Terrible company. Refuses to replace or refund.

My garden hose reel came without an axle. Your customer service number was conveniently printed right on the front of the instruction book. I called the number and you returned my call later that day. The CS rep gave me simple instructions and after I sent the necessary information, I received an immediate response. I've not always had good fortune when ordering items online. Thank you to Liberty Garden for your excellent customer service.

Crappy hose reel leaks and the female who answered the phone was also full of crap! Don't buy from this company, their products lacks quality control.

Horrible customer service and quality control. Their hose reel rusted in 2 weeks and their answer was tough... They do not stand behind their products. They actually has the nerve to tell me to spray paint it since their paint failed after only 2 weeks. I will never deal with this company again.

Bought the 4 wheel garden cart. It has started to rust in several places after less than two months. Poor quality product that was $120, just as poor customer service.

Buyer Beware Liberty Garden makes poor quality products that do not match their claims. I purchased a model 713 wall mount hose reel. The design allowed the reel to shift and not allow the hose to be reeled in. I contacted Liberty Garden after visiting their web site that states "No Hassle Guarantee" and they will repair or replace the defective product. I sent pictures and explained what happened. Customer service said they would send me parts but would not repair or replace the defective hose reel. I asked to speak to the president but he refused to return my call. In 2010 after trying numerous garden hose reels, I purchased a Liberty Garden Products Decorative Non-Rust Cast Aluminum Wall Mounted Garden Hose Reel. After mounting it on two 4x4s I found it to be not only beautiful, but worked much better than the several plastic ones that I always ended up throwing away! Recently the short supplier hose that connects the reel to my outdoor facet broke. I called them and without question they agreed to send me a replacement. This replacement was at no cost and they even paid for shipping! The customer service agent (Lisa) was friendly and continued to thank me for using their product. I bought this through Amazon and will continue to use their products in the future.
