“We heard about Shelton's through a family member and had 2 other quotes already coming in to remodel our kitchen. In the past one thing that has always been a source of frustration is working with people who do not communicate or don't follow through on their word. They give you a date and time, then when that time comes they aren't there, and you are left having to track them down. Then if you say something about it you are related to as being "too sensitive". It's very unprofessional and rampant with self-employed, "prideful" contractors. This is the exact opposite of the experience we had with Shelton's, and it is why we felt so comfortable and grateful working with them.Mark did what he said he would do and he communicated every step of the way. When a schedule change had to happen we knew in advance of the change as soon as he knew. No surprise changes. His crew was efficient and professional. They came to get their job done, they showed up, worked, got it done and left the job site well cared for. One cabinet installer did not vacuum up his drill shavings in the cabinets and drawers, and that was unfortunate considering leaving your site clean really polishes your work and makes the customer feel impressed. That being said it wasn't too big of a deal for us.Mark made recommendations for people to do our floor and for painters and we were very happy with both of those companies as well.Mark was utterly calm throughout the process which set us at ease. He didn't get impatient with us when we had questions. He simply answered us with kindness and patience. I am so thankful we went with them because remodels can be so frustrating for people (I hear), but that wasn't our experience. I can't say enough good things about this company and especially Mark. He runs his business with standards of customer care that are just not often seen in today's world.”

“Our experience was mixed.
Nathan was professional answered all of our questions and was prompt with responses and quotes.
The installation process was smooth and prompt
We had a long scratch/scuff on the counter after installation and we called them right away and someone was sent out to take pictures and or buff it. They weren’t comfortable polishing out the damage because of the material and said someone would be in contact.
This is where the mixed part come in.
They didn’t call me back and a week later I finally reached out to them, it was damage they couldn’t guarantee would buff out so replacing the section was what we decided on because they still had the same batch of material in stock so color wouldn’t be an issue.
Another week later I called them back, they said they were waiting on approval from the manufacturer, and should reach out soon.
A few days later I was told the warranty claim was approved and someone would reach out to schedule, I again confirmed color wouldn’t be an issue because they still had the same stock.
I was called later and told they would get me on the schedule later that week and I could expect a call by the end of the week. I waited until the next week and started calling pretty much every other day, every time I called the scheduling person was out or would call me back. I left several messages and talked to several people over the next couple of weeks with no success.
I finally got a call and was told they no longer had the stock of our countertop so they would be replacing the entire kitchen. This would leave us responsible for plumbing again and removing and reinstalling the appliance garage that was on one section of counter. Costing several days of labor on my part.
We finally opted to have someone come out and buff the damage even though they couldn’t guarantee results.
It’s frustrating that if they had just done this quickly to begin with we wouldn’t have had to settle it took over a month and a half to get this somewhat resolved. That delay caused the results to be less than expected.
Overall it turned out fine and the damage won’t be noticed by anyone not looking for it.”
