The guys here were very friendly, even to those of color unlike others want you to believe in reviews. While I was here they were friendly to all people and willing to take the time and show us anything we wanted. Purchased something here too and the price was right! I’ll be back and recommend.

After a couple visits to the store it is evident that they are not very open and friendly to people of color.....it's very evident the way customers after my entrance were greated (white)......not interested in change.....just will never spend another dollar in this store... West Mountain pawn has a larger selection, with open and friendlier staff.....

Couldn’t be happier with the service, not only do they have VERY competitive prices (which they will price match) but they also have an in house gunsmith. Which was awesome, because they were able to troubleshoot what was wrong with my AR when 3 other gunsmiths were not. They are a great asset to have around. Thanks guys!

The staff was super friendly and they have a decent selection of firearms. My only complaint is when I was looking at buying one of their used guns when I asked to field strip it to look at the spring, barrel and inside of the gun they said they do not allow it. Maybe it's me but I can't see buying a used gun without checking its major components first.

Prices are fair, employees are awesome, Mark Wagner is possibly the best gunsmith in NC so couple that with their customer service and you’ve got a winner of a store!

Very knowledgeable staff with a great selection. Some are used but this is not hidden and the price reflects. If you don't mind a used gun for a lower price you can get them for a steal

I recently purchased a firearm and accessories from Idols. The owner and employees were professional and knowledgeable. I can't speak highly enough about this store. I will never shop anywhere else for firearms or ammo. I purchased additional magazines and they swapped out the factory sites with upgraded optics on my new purchase. I will definitely shop at Idols again. Great people.

My post is in reference to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA's Veterans experience and review. First and foremost I truly appreciate you and your service to this country, which for all the snowflakes is the greatest country in the world. To be the best at anything a price has to be paid. All Veterans gave some, some gave all- LET THAT BURN IN REAL DEEP. Thank every Vet that proudly displays their service. Because of them you have the ability to walk into a gun store and buy whatever the Hell you want and can afford outside of obvious strict weapons of mass carnage (RPG's, claymores, etc). I'm good with that, doesn't mean I don't still want them, but responsible boundaries must be kept. I certainly do not know the situation, rules, regulations, and restrictions of being a public FFL selling firearms store, but of note I've used the bathrooms at Academy and Sportsman's Warehouse, they have it figured out nationwide. Surely some reasonable accommodations must exist as let's face it; peeing is a basic human need. Using Insurance regulations are usually just a polite way of saying NO. Maybe someone was a pig and made a mess one time. Life is full of disappointment and on occasion unpleasant situations, but you shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water, nor stop an American Vet from relieving himself. I have bought a single rifle at Idol's and it too was my last purchase there. Nobody is doing me a favor by assisting me in purchasing a Sub2000. I think I interpreted shop talk between employees and a local Klingon that hangs out all day. I'm not intentionally bothering them, I'm there to see it, hold it, fill out paperwork, pay then exit. I believe the owner has forgotten or lost his way what the purpose of his store is and customers with paperwork and cash buying things are why he's there unless more behind the curtain that is of private nature which is highly unlikely. Prices are higher, but they should be. They have brick and motor to support and I can feel, touch, examine, etc before buying. That is well with the 20% premium. I morally could not visit a store and make the observations in person and not buy from the store by buying over the internet. Not in this life or any other as my conscious would destroy me. My love of all things firearms is a terrible curse and I find it frustrating the closest gun store to my house is one I won't walk through the door again because of being treated sub standardly. I truly wish Idol's the best and hope they can find their way to provide an experience at least equal to big box stores which is a low bar on any scale. Sad but true TR
