here at A.J.s it says used cars under 2500.. when I went there were a couple at $2500 exactly none under $2500. However, Most all were under $4k. I bought a car from them last month. I will say it is an awesome place to buy a car from IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT!!! I looked at 4 different cars while I was there 2 of them I did not even drive off the lot because of major issues. (Issues should always be expected with high milage cars) I waited a month to write this because I wanted to see exactly how many underlying issues there were with the car I choose... I bought my car for either $3k or $3500. When I first test drove it I did not see many issues a leaky head gasket cover and a blown head light.. I hooked my OBD scanner to it and found that they codes had been reset. So I drove it around until the codes appeared... I couldn't get the emissions to reset but figured at worse it's just a cat converter so I went ahead and bought it... So I bought the car which only took about 30 minutes to do which was awesome!! So here we are a month later my first day experience with it was not to great... was driving to work and it had died on me. I learned that it ran out of gas because the fuel gage doesn't work... 2 days after purchase the check engine light came on because as I expected it is shooting a code for a bad cat. A week after purchase it start making a weird noise when turning the steering wheel. I check that out to find there was little power steering fluid because of a leak in the system... In the end I will end up putting about another $800 into it and it will be an awesome ride... and to get an awesome ride in my book with no hassle sales is a win!!! Thank you A.J.s.... Key take away for anyone buying there... #1 make sure either you know what you are looking at or have someone with you that does. #2 take a code reader it will save you a lot of headaches in the future. #3 make sure you have the knowledge to fix the issues with the car you get. If you don't then that cheap car can get expensive real quick!!! But in my mind as for the experience I had and the price of the
car they still get 5 stars. My honest opinion the majority of people on here complaining about this company seen something cheap. Went in did a test drive around the block and took it without doing their research! Good place for a cheap vehicle!! ??

Second time buying from them on 7/2/24. Bought a Santa Fe for 3k. Only needed its gas cap tightened. If you need a car and don't want to finance and make payments, these are the guys to talk to.

On June 12th 2024 I purchased a car from here which was everything that I needed it to be test drove it, had mechanic look at it, and was very pleased 4 days later car overheated call them to ask them about a repair they said they have no garage and they don't repair cars there.. so I had my mechanic take a look and the water pump and thermostat needed changing all was good until today while driving to work today the engine blew after spending $4,200 for the vehicle , taxes all that stuff not to mention what I paid with the mechanic to have the other repairs right now I'm out of 5,000 bucks and this place won't help.. I just retired July 4th and have no other recourse to be able to do anything.. all I can say is buyer beware. To make matters worse when I bought this car I sold my car so now I have zero transportation.

Second time buying from A&J on 7/2/24. I needed a car. They have cheap cars. 3k for a ******* Santa Fe that simply needed its gas cap tightened to solve the engine light issue. I'll keep buying from them if I need more cars in the future. Good guys.

STAY AWAY!! The worst place!!! Not only did the vehicle I purchased give out after 3 weeks, the experience in the store was horrible. The two staff members that work the counter are extremely racist, they made very disrespectful comments when they thought I did not hear them and dirty looks when I was getting the keys to test drive. I will never return and advise others not to aswell.

My husband and I have searched for months for a vehicle for our 16 yr old daughter and we found the perfect car for her! We purchased a 2008 Toyota Prius from A & J Used cars and the price we paid was amazing! I recommend anyone who is searching for a vehicle to visit them asap! I have bought several cars from A&J. The prices are great. You know you are getting a used car, nothing close to new as reflected with the price, but the cars I got here run great. Most have high mileage but still have plenty of life left. Well worth the price and the staff are great.

My son purchased a car about a month ago. He immediately took it in for an oil change and inspection. He has dumped over 1500 already and yesterday the check engine light came on saying it needs a knock sensor circuit. It actually went completely dead while he was at work. I’m a single mom trying to make sure my son has a car to get back and forth to college and this happens. This review is just let people know to beware. I could have actually paid a semester of school with the money we lost.
Update: This was not a problem that developed but an issue that was already an apparent issue as it happened a couple weeks after purchasing. As reading these comments this is the same car (Avalon) one of the reviews stated the check engine light came on while driving. I know that untrustworthy dealership clear codes to not show the check engine light. So save the “develop issues” People beware and take a mechanic with you!!!
