Went in to purchase a headboard and footboard I had seen recently (didn't have the space in my car on the initial visit), and it was gone. I figured it probably had been sold, but asked an employee if there might be another headboard and footboard in the back that just hadn't been priced yet. Employee told me that the headboard and footboard in question had been thrown in the dumpster a few minutes prior (store had just opened), and that they dumped liquid over the trash to deter thieves. Which tells me that they throw away a lot of stuff, considering they have to contend with people sifting through their garbage to "steal" what they were tossing anyways...

I will NEVER donate to Goodwill again. There are plenty of nonprofits who are kind to their donors, but this has not been my experience. If I’m being honest, I donate to Goodwill because it is convenient to my house. Today, I donated very nice items that I organized before donating. I am not a person who donates things that belong in the trash and I launder everything prior to donations. When I dropped off I had a pack and play and was told they can’t take anything that a baby could go in, which is fine. However, the staff was abrasive and asked me what everything was and began a list of all the things they don’t take even though I didn’t ask for that information and told her what each paper bag had in it. She included in the list “dead rodents” which was very rude since all my stuff was nicely organized. Even if you work there and have experienced an incident where there was a dead rodent, why would you say that to someone donating? Very unprofessional and rude! Do yourselves a favor and donate to an organization that appreciates the time and effort you put into helping their organization. I will go out of my way from now on to donate elsewhere.

Well-kept store, friendly staff, and lots of clothing items! I love sifting through the racks of clothing here. I have found great items here--from a small bookshelf for $10 to a cute green utility jacket for $5 (compared to $35-50 in most stores). The shop is on the smaller size and has more clothing than household items. I know people complain about the higher prices, but it is merely inflation.

Iashia Littlejohn shame on you. Learn the policy first and THEN apply it. Walking off and saying have a blessed day doesn't make your behavior any better. Goodwill is a place for families. Some of us would rather donate items than sell them and now we see where our items are going.

They have a few awesome things. It depends on what you are looking for. They have tons of clothes. Not as much household items. There is a small selection of shoes, toys and books. You will usually have to wait awhile when you are ready to check out. ?If you're visiting the Goodwill on Samet Drive in High Point, it's worth coming here too. It's about 5 minutes away. When I go to one, I usually try to get to the other as well. ?

Crazy high prices for a thrift store. May as well go to Ross or something. They aren't helping anyone but themselves for a big pay day.

Almost nothing for books and ridiculously high prices on them. I won't be back.

I hate to be the one to point this out but Goodwill has turned into just another for profit store. If you think about it all the proceeds made from the store go right back into the goodwill franchise. Nothing is provided back into the community. Yes, they might take homeless, train people, but only to work under their umbrella. Most major industries do the same thing. They take homeless, veterans, underprivileged and provide help and assistance. This company is making millions on consumers.I have just about had it with them. An investigation would probably prove much more deception. And that “ give us your change” is ridiculous. Managers are now consumed only with profit. This goodwill especially. A snarl given to me by the manager when I said no “ I don’t want to give you my change.” And really I have wasted as much money as I spent in faulty merchandise. In this day and age Goodwill no longer is the only thrift store around. And why have a discount card? I forgot my card and the manager refused to help me and look it up. She lost a $100. of profit. I lost a lot of valuable Saturday time. I will not be returning to this store. It infuriates me that goodwill gets richer & richer off consumer donations.

Great deals, went to pay with separately as I was purchasing something that was going to be used for business and turned in to track spending (was using my discount card that I purchased ) , Lore on her power trip refused and wanted me to pay on one transaction . It's me and my Girlfriends card, who was right there in line with me. I hope this made her feel very powerful
