I had a great experience here today with the General Manager assisting me with an issue with U-Haul. She was fast, gave mequotes, and was just overall extremely helpful and professional. You don’t get that much with these kinds of places anymore. It definitely took a stressful situation and made it a lot easier on myself. I believe her name was Tanika, I hope I didn’t mess that up, but she was certainly my saving grace today after a long week!

Scheduled pickup for 5:30am. Went through pick up process in appNo key was in the boxImagine driving 5 hours to get here early in the morning to start moving then waiting in parking lot 2hrs because no one put the key in the lock box for a rental reserved 2 weeks prior.

Trash customer service. Dude had an attitude from the moment I walked into the place. Would not rent me a trailer because I didn’t want to give out someone else’s phone number. I reserved it online without any issues. Avoid this place at all costs.

I've came to this location several times with nobody in the office. I was unloading my 15' truck into a storage unit and an empty hit my the truck I was renting with their 26' truck and didn't even come back to check on it so I had to flag the group of people moving trucks and have them check for damage. The second time I dropped off a truck nobody was in the office and they said they could take the keys if an emailed receipt was ok, i didn't want to inconvenience them So I said yes. I was then charged for two extra gallons of fuel when I only drove 58 miles and already put 6 gallons in the tank returning it at the proper level. AVOID THIS LOCATION , there is one or two good employees the rest are very unprofessional.

We did a one-day truck rental. It was easy to book it online and then to pick up the truck. The truck worked perfectly and drove as easily as a car. Thomas checked us out in the morning and he was awesome with the equipment and the extra supplies we needed. We found out later that he is Assistant Manager, and it shows! We were checked back in just before closing by Nicholas, and he made the process quick and easy.

Very pleasant staff. I was greeted upon entry and quickly assisted. One employee even backed the truck out for me. The return was also quick and efficient with the same employee taking the truck through the the process for me.Also the store was clean and organized

I had a bad experience at U-Haul in Wilmington, (appointment for wiring of hitch, but when I showed up, could not be helped) but luckily an associate was able to help me out. When I made the trip to Wilmington, Eric was filling in and apologized that no one reached out to me, but there was no one that could help me during my appointment in Wilmington. He recommended I could get it done in Jacksonville, then Eric helped get me set up with a new appointment at this location within 2 days. When I brought my car in, the wiring technician (also named Eric) helped me get my car wired in under 30 minutes! This location will have my business in the future for when I need a trailer.

The U-HAUL New River Moving and Storage is a great place to fill all your moving and storage needs.The staff, beginning with the Manager Tanika, is outstanding. They are kind, knowledgeable and patient with their customers. They are always so friendly and nothing is ever a problem!The young men that helped me, Thomas and Nate, were beyond helpful in every way. The whole staff is an asset to U-HAUL! Thank you, Tanika, Thomas and Nate. you guys ROCK! ?

This is not the first time I’ve used this location and was amazed at Thomas and his ability to control more than one customer and employee at a time with ease and professionalism. His ability to make everyone in the room feel attended to and understood is hard to find in an employee in todays workforce. I’ve been a business owner and have several managers that would do well to come shadow this young man. I hope this company knows what they have in his abilities as he’s definitely being underutilized in management.Dave Walcott

Our van had major issues the whole time we had it and broke down. Manager never called to discuss these issues as promised.

Amber Williams at the counter thought I had a 15ft truck. My request was for a 10 ft. She did not walk me to my rental. She told me the truck was out back. It indeed was not. I walked around and finally found the truck in the front. I got the keys to the 10 ft truck, however, when I called to ask if I had the correct truck, she said she thought I had a 15 ft truck, so therefore she wrote down all the creditials to the 15 ft truck. The driver's side door was broken. I couldn't get it closed. The check engine light was on. When I called them to let them know. She made up some story about when they pump gas with the truck running it causes the check light to come on. Then when I go to return the truck their app wasn't working, so I had to call customer service where the first person I got rerouted me back into the customer service line because he didn't want to deal with me. Once the truck was finally checked in I let the representative know about my experience and that I was overcharge for gas because she wrote down the wrong credentials to the truck. She claimed she submitted a claim for the difference of what I was being charged. Last time I looked,I was still being charged the full amount. I have photo proof with time stamps to back my facts.

Equipment that was reserved for weeks was unavailable. That's a huge inconvenience during an already stressful time. The staff here couldn't care less about your situation. If you must choose U-Haul, choose a different location.

Old Maplehurst location had to make an online reservation for this place because they didn't have the 6x12 trailer that was needed. Because we didn't arrive within 15 minutes of the reserved time they gave the trailer to someone else. Now we're trying a third location to see if they have a trailer available. Heads up the available time MATTERS! But NO one at Uhaul 800 customer service NOR either location mentions this.

I called to reserve a trailer hitch over the phone and they ended up selling it without telling me. They wasted a lot of my time and gas because of this. I find it very odd that they are required to take your full name, email address and phone number, but don't have the courtesy to give you an email or phone call when they sell your stuff, but that's just me.

Company was unorganized!! Lied & charged my card more than explained ! Dennis , in store could not explain charges , Called 1800 spoke to Jamelia and she hung up and transferred me back to Dennis , spoke to Jason Traffic Coordinator did not care , said he wasn’t going to do anything because he wasn’t there. Rude kept going over policy that I was not informed of. Even his amounts didn’t add up to what it was supposed to be. He tried to close this report out I will be contacting my bank for charges and better business bureau. If I could give zero starts !
