Room and hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly. Very close to shops and restaurants which made the stay convenient. Breakfast had a lot of choices. Their gym was non existent but did what it needed to do.

Anybody claiming this place is clean is out of their mind. Bathroom has mold, It smells when you walk in. Kitchen is disgusting. It is so outdated For the price you pay. I will not stay again.

Always have a pleasant stay & experience at this staybridge location. The front desk associates are the best. Always pleasant & helpful. Make u feel warm, welcome & like family. Rooms are nice as well. Spacious room & adequate bath area. Enjoy the full refrigerator & sitting area. Room & All areas of hotel are clean. Breakfast is plentiful with a variety of choices. This is my hotel preference when I'm in this area
Safety: Hotel is located in a nice area near other hotels & easy access to variety of restaurants, & shopping. I feel safe as I enter/ exit the hotel. Never folk hanging outside property
Walkability: Restaurants & grocery store are within walking distance if u had to walk. Just have to cross a busy 5 lane road.

Great hotel if your staying short term or long.
For the price, you get a nice room, great Service, breakfast daily and a nice simple dinner Monday through Wednesday! Nothing super fancy but really nice not to have to cook 3 evenings out of the week. Highly recommend.
Only complaint I had was the room smelled like they had a dog in the room. Which you can tell because of the hair everywhere. But they are a pet friendly hotel.
Rooms: Good size room. Pet friendly so may smell a little. ??♂️
Nearby activities: Near to everything
Food and drinks: Free beer Monday through Wednesday! With dinner.
Noteworthy details: Dinner Monday through Wednesday

I came to Jacksonville, NC to see my Marine son stationed at New River. I have stayed here before but it's been a while. Last time, I stayed, I didn't have a room with a kitchen as they were all booked. I also know I felt the price was a bit high for nothing but beds so I moved down the road to a competing hotel and this is where I usually book at as I normally don't have a need for a kitchen.
They do have a great free breakfast spread which is why I kept it on my list of hotels if I ever wanted/needed a kitchen; Especially considering if a hotel offer rooms with kitchenettes most hotels don't offer any free breakfast with kitchenettes (just FYI).
MY STAY (16 JULY- 22 JULY 2024):
My room was clean and was nicely stocked with all that was needed for my stay. I reserved a 1 bedroom suite with 2 Queen beds. The staff was polite and friendly and always greeted me with a smile. They allow pets which is fantastic as I travel with my 2 jack russells. There is plenty of outdoor space for your 4 legged fur babies no matter what size they are to be taken out for ‘relief’ and they have poop stations in the back that are ALWAYS clean and well stalked with bags (although I always have my own) for all your pups pick-up needs… (yep, I went there as I feel its mandatory I do mention the doo-doo ?)
PS: If you ever see one of us dog owners leaving/letting our doggos leave their calling card and we don't ‘pick up’ after them- PLEASE… call them out and tell them to pick up their mutts poo! I find it very disrespectful NOT to pick up after your pet ?…
To my fellow pet owners who may have made the horrible executive decision to NOT pick up after your pet: This hotel is one of the few hotels left that has very kindly allowed us to have our pets! Don't ruin it for everyone and give them an excuse to stop allowing our pups at this hotel by leaving piles of toxic bio-waist around the property for others to step in! ? (rant over)
On with the hotel review…
They have an outdoor pool, basketball court, gym, for your 2 legged ‘babies’ which I will add, there were tons of wee-ones there during my week long stay that were THRILLED with the pool so it was definitely a winner.
The hotel has a courtyard at the back with BBQs for you to entertain a few guests for lunch/dinner if you want during your visit.
Tues-Thurs, there is a PM ‘social hour’ with free evening food and drinks for guests which is a neat idea as well.
There’s a hotel pantry if you're feeling peckish at any hour of the night or if you arrive late (as I did at 1 am) and are in need nourishment even if it is from a microwave box.
The AC was cold and the beds were comfy. There's a ‘quiet hour’ where guests are expected to keep the noise levels down. For the most part, during my stay, the hotel was just that- quiet.
Unfortunately, there was a family above me who checked in a day or two after myself, who allowed their children to bounce around the room like elephants well after the ‘quiet time’ curfew (not the hotel's fault). A quick call to the front desk (which I was hoping not to have to do) and the shenanigans above me soon calmed down.
LOCATION:
The hotel is centrally located for those who haven't been to Jacksonville. Right off one of the main thoroughfares. Right next to Target, Sam's Club, Walmart, and there's a Publix across the road to stock your kitchenette. Loads of restaurants- take your pick and your be a few min away.
BASES:
Camp LeJune/New River/Johnson is literally 5-10 min away traffic pending. (My son made it to me before the pasta was finished boiling).
CONS:
Only one- They book up fast. Why? Because they are a good hotel. Period. So book early if you want to stay here.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
There are a lot of hotels to choose from in Jac

My family came to town for a short visit. Although I have a place for us to stay, I do not have enough beds so for their last night my husband and I decided to get a reasonable room that had comfortable beds so they could sleep comfortably before driving 8 hrs home....The price was barely more than the cheap trashy hotels AND they have amazing breakfast, dinner 3 nights per week, all toiletries are available for no charge (better than average products) friendly and welcoming staff and my favorite part...IT IS SO CLEAN!!!! I will only stay at Staybridge Suites from now on when I travel. The amenities are worth the few dollars more!!! They have a pool, a fire pit and gas grills as well. I strongly recommend checking them out@

The hotel is nice, staff are super friendly, breakfast and dinner is pretty good; but it feels like a pet owner ONLY hotel. If you have pet allergies or do not the strong smell of animals, do not stay here. EVERY single room is pet friendly. My room smelled like dogs and cat pee. A dog had several “accidents” on the 3rd floor hallway and the smell was horrific. Even after staff shampooed it, the odor was still strong. Really unpleasant experience. Usually hotels have certain floors designated for pets but that is not the case here. I could not get my money back because I booked through a third party booking site. The allowing of pets in every room should be disclosed on all booking websites;however, it is not!
Rooms: Smelled awful

Good hotel for the chain. Nice suite rooms for longer stays. Average quality and variety breakfast. Free dinner option (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) is a nice perk, but can run out of food quickly; show up early if you desire more variety.

Had my daughters sweet 16 here. Itd be a understate just to say this place was amazing. They have 2 gas grills, utensils clean and grill are provided, a firepit, a court for either basketball/tennis, swimming pool and a decent continental breakfast. Everywhere was spotless, everything worked, and stocked with whatever was needed. The staff best of all was byfar the most friendly and accommodating staff ive ever experienced. Thank you for a great weekend and helping make my daughters birthday special!

Did not have a great experience at this location. My sister and I were traveling alone and stayed one night at the Staybridge, our room was double booked, or I should say our key was given to 2 separate guests as a mistake. A gentleman entered our room while we were getting settled in. Thankfully, he was very nice, and we were still dressed and not in an uncomfortable position but still not a mistake that should happen. He was right behind us at check-in, and we felt like the reception/manager on duty should have realized he was giving the same room key to 2 different guests back to back. The excuse we got the next morning while checking out was that they were training someone new and should have checked behind them. Indeed, you should have. The manager on duty that night offered us points since my husband had booked the room thru his job and thus, a third party (which by the way I had to create an IHG account to access the points and do not even cover a full night at one of their locations) and told us if we wanted to speak with the head manager to come back Monday morning.... sorry, I'm not gonna stop my vacation to fit your schedule. The other option the manager on duty gave us that night was to call the third party and canceled the reservation, but when we did that the third party called the hotel and were told not to cancel.... what a waste of time. The gentleman got his room refunded I believe thankfully. And that was the end of it. Nothing else was done, no one reached out to apologize or anything, my husband had to call to speak to the head manager the following week. In this day and age, this should not happened, I was alone with my sister who is sick and if the person had not been as nice as the gentlemen, who knows what could have happened. And the fact that this was not taken seriously is the issue here. On top of all that, kids were running up and down the halls until midnight or so, we could not leave any faster the next day, so glad we only had booked one night. Will not return to this location for sure.

They didn't have food available in the morning as advertised. Almost everything was gone when we went down to breakfast with the kids. Front desk just shrugs it off and doesn't seem to care.
