The room was reasonably priced. I had my brother visiting me from out of state.He enjoyed the pool the atmosphere and the nearby places to shop and restaurants etc. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly. I give them 10 Stars!!!

Rooms: I stayed in a King size room very clean and neat! The AC was already in the room and the towels were very clean!!

Safety: I felt very safe even before I saw Police Patrolling the area.

“We stayed for three days. The people were polite, and the room was spacious. The store next door and in entrance of the hotel made things easy and convenient for my little ones. The only issue I had was the bugs, but with it raining, I can understand how they may have been pushed in. The other was itching. Being on the carpet made everyone very itchy. It felt like there may have been tiny bugs there. That made it uncomfortable.”

“We chose this hotel out of pure convenience but I was pleasantly surprised! I called the place directly because Trip Advisor said there was no availability and there was plenty of availability. I informed the staff that I would not be arriving until around 2:30 AM and he was super nice and said no problem! I asked if he wanted my credit card information to hold the room and he said no that he would have a room for me and he did just that at 3:00 AM with a smile! The property appearance is very neat and clean. The rooms have been remodeled with new paint and tile and was very clean. I only have three issues...the bath tub is ceramic and very clean but also very slippery and there are no grab bars. I nearly fell twice. The A/C was off when we arrived and it took a little while to cool it off and also made for a stale odor to begin with. Nothing major...The A/C units are fairly new. Lastly, the beds have not been upgraded. We slept very well and the linens were clean but could use some updated spreads and new mattresses. Other than that it was great and I will stay again! Oh, and no continental breakfast but a fair price for a Budget Inn!”

“My family and I stay in this hotel have been great so far. Motel 6 is very close to a lot of fast food restaurants, tobacco & vape shops, salons, and barbershops. They even have a Waffle House located next to them. I highly recommend Lazzaro's Pizza. Their pizzas are so delicious. You can't beat that! And stores such as Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walmart, etc. If you have a family I highly recommend New River Shopping Center. They have a thrift store called Finder's Keeper's that donates to women who are domestic violence victims. My husband & I found a lot of great stuff there. The shopping center have a Dollar General of course, City Trends which is a clothing store, planet fitness and an inside children playhouse. And down the street from Motel 6 they have an inside gymnasium for kids, Chinese Buffet, and a huge Dollar General Store. The staff at Motel 6 are very awesome. Imee been nice towards my family and help. Imee make sure the job is done. Bethany have been nice towards my family and very passionate about her job & also make sure things are ran smoothly towards the even through night. Motel 6 have great coffee and an outside pool. Pet friendly. The owner needs a round of applause for hiring Imee & Bethany. Because Imee & Bethany they are the type of workers every business establishment needs. The house keepers are sweethearts & get the job done. If you are visiting Jacksonville, NC stop by Motel 6. Like the commercial says, "We Leave The Light On For You."

On more thing, If you enjoy fishing or boating there is literally a lake up the street.”

“The location is prime, period. It’s literally in the middle of everything, but still on the outskirts of town. And close outskirts, not like the unincorporated areas. It takes me 10 minutes to get literally everywhere. The staff was wonderful from day one. I had to stay there for a couple months, and they were amazing. They took the time to remember my name and accomodate my family and I on a more personal level. The housekeepers were great, very clean and considerate. They even folded my dish rag and displayed my detergent it’s really cute. The manager is so hands on. Never not there to answer any questions even if they aren’t at the desk. I happened to be there during a change in staff, and surprisingly they handled it very well. You couldn’t tell that there was a staff shortage everything ran accordingly at all times. If you have to be in town for a short term, or long term stay, I’d definitely recommend this location for either. Clean, comfortable, and very convenient. It’s the only place I stay when I’m in town.

Rooms: Spacious, very comfortable.. they have the 2 burner timed stoves. And that’s so convenient especially if you have children. It makes it harder to have accidents relating to burning food with the timer turning off after awhile. Super clean! The housekeeping staff doesn’t cut corners. Even if they were there after hours finishing their cleaning, they were there. There was never anything left undone. I would run into housekeeping later in the evening finishing their work. Everyone works hard to be on brand for Choice Hotels and Suburban!

Safety: You normally have the loiterers at any hotel, never saw one here. If you were here, you lived here and if not, you visited someone that did. There was never anyone out of place even without security, it was safe. I let my son go to the vending machine and gym by himself every time. I was never concerned for our safety. And the staff definitely knew everyone on such a personal level that no one could be out of place.

Food & drinks: Here, you can access everything. From the unincorporated areas of town to everything in the city. Everything delivers, all of the restaurants are on door dash, Uber eats, or grubhub. It’s really convenient as far as having what you want. The location is truly amazing.

Noteworthy details: Again, the location is amazing! You can literally access everything within 10-15 minutes no matter where it is. Another thing that deserves a mention, the staff itself! Especially management! Staff is very considerate and accommodating. The coffee bar was always full, and you could even suggest what you wanted to see as a long term guest and they’d do their best to see it happen, even if they had to make it happen on their own dime.”

“I read the reviews, however I own my own business so I know that sometimes you can have people that no matter what you do they will never be satisfied, so I decided to give Sunset Inn a shot. I brought up some of the reviews that I had read to the manager, she and I engaged in a great conversation on the matter and I felt very good about my decision to stay here. My room was clean. Everything worked. Bathroom was super clean. No odors no stains. I left very satisfied !!!

Rooms: My room was immaculate. I couldn't hae asked for a better room for my stay.
